Getting the reservation was easy. We've rented there in the past. My husband remembered from a past rental how helpful the office staff was. BUT, this time..... They sent us off in a truck with headlights so dim I even thought about leaning out the window and using my phone flashlight. That wasn't the biggest problem. The bigger problem is that the battery was shot and even though we never left any lights on or doors ajar and we used our car headlights for loading and unloading lights, the truck battery failed on us TWICE!!! The second time we were stranded was in a rough (ROUGH) part of town and we tried to get UHAUL to send someone to get us operational again but our plea for help over the "LIVE CHAT" option on the UHaul website went totally unanswered. I was scared and literally begging but got no response!!! NONE! I have a screen capture of that if you would like proof. When I told the check in guy what happened, his response was not an, "I'm so sorry that happened to you". It was a grunt! Did that make me feel like they regretted our horrible experience. NO!! Did it make me decide not to use UHaul in the future. YES!!! I have rented from UHaul many times in the past but you can sign me - - No longer a loyal UHaul Customer

You should create an expedited process for repeat customers. As someone that has rented many time in recent years, it often takes me longer inside than I need a trailer for. I would rent more often if not for the lengthy check in process. Last time I used online checkin, photos of DL everything and they repeated it upon my arrival anyway.

Rented 6x12 trailer and later found nail in tire. Unfortunately, AFTER it was fully loaded reducing options! Called them, instructed me to bring back. It was near closing time and this team replaced the tire! Thanks!

I have rented I haul trucks for many years with out any issues. This last truck rental was a nightmare. The truck we rented was in bad condition the speedometer didn't work and the drivers window rattled so bad it drove me crazy. I have never rented a truck from haul that ride anywhere near so bad it was terrible it actually made my insides hurt and I only drove it about about 180 miles.😥

The ONLY thing I would suggest is really emphasize that customers purchase not only the accident insurance, but the Roadside Assistance for $5.You have my permission to use my story. After unloading items into my rather dark storage unit, I realized I had LOST the key to my rental van. After 2 hours of moving around everything I had just put in, dumping out my purse 3 times, crawling and feeling around on the storage unit's dirty floor as well as under the van, and crying unto I could hardly breathe, I gave in and called the U-Haul location. She gave me the 800 number for customer service. The agent I spoke with there who told me not to worry, I was covered and reminded me that I had purchased the roadside assistance insurance! Best $5 I've ever spent!
