I have used Uhaul for years, but this will be the last time. I picked up the truck via the Uhaul app which worked OK. When I opened the back of the truck, there was broken glass everywhere (which I cleaned up). The lock to secure the door while in motion was broken. About 5 miles into driving, I got a warning message on the dash to check the gas cap. I did, but nothing was evidently apparent. About half way into my drive, the check engine light came on, and I wasnt surprised. The truck clearly had a transmission/engine issue and drove very rough. Because of the error message on the dash, I couldn't access the odometer when I returned it to complete the drop off process. Luckily, the location store was open so I was able to take the key in so they could help with the return. I told the gentleman about all of the issues, and he said he would give me a partial credit. When I got my emailed receipt, there was no credit. Also, I used about half a tank of gas for my move. When I calculated the gas mileage, it came out to about 6-7 miles per gallon which is likely due to whatever issues are going on with the engine!
