I arrived to pick up my rental to find a note on the office door saying they were closed! Nothing outside of the gated entrance so people who dont have storage could see it or know what's going on! I had to wait around for a customer to let me in the gate so I could see this sign. Then the sign said for uhaul help go to this completely different location. Why would I leave where I was to get the truck from?! (I called the location instead) and I had to go through the process of opening an online account with U-Haul then downloading the app and verifying friends/photos of my drivers licence just to get the key! I reserved pick up at 1 and got the rental well after that time but it was due back at the same time or penalized?! I wouldnt rent from this location or recommend it as well. I feel that if you're going to run a business you should have staff available for these types of situations I understand emergencies happen but it could have been organized way better for non storage customers.
The truck was in excellent shape and suited my needs perfectly. The attendant was very efficient and professional. I highly recommend this location for your rental needs.
Your system of me photographing my id would never work and had to do everything manually which even caused the local rep long delays. Not user friendly at all.

This was the worst experience I have ever had renting a trunk from any of your facilities and I have had dozens of occasions to use your services. I will no longer. All of my future business will go to a competitor.

Your support line is not very good. The wait for a call to get answered is way too long. When answered some people are helpful and others not so. Plus I originally called your Oddie Rd. RENO location to make a reservation. He said I'd get an email confirmation. I didn't get the confirmation and apparently the reservation was never made. Good thing I called to check on it.
My initial reservation was for a location in Richmond, CA. I was scheduled for a 15' truck, with a car dolly, round trip from Richmond CA to Reno, NV and back. On August 1st when I went to the Richmond location to pick up the truck, I was told that my reservation was switch to a Pinole location 5 miles away. I was not notified of that change! When the Richmond store checked Pinole in the system it showed that they did not have a 15' truck either. No location within in 20 miles had a truck that I could rent. I made my reservations 2 weeks in advance and no one had a truck big enough for me to use. So I called Reno Uhaul number and spoke with someone and explained my problem. He was at the Oddie Lane location, I think. Anyway he said he would have a15' truck for me available on Friday, August 2nd. So I drove to Reno with the idea of renting a truck, drive back to Richmond, move my furniture and returning the truck to the Reno location. While on the way to Reno, I received a text from Uhaul stating that I could not get a truck on Friday. The earliest one would be available would be on Monday August 5th. That was not acceptable as our schedule was set. I called the customer service number and spoke with someone who said that another location, the Parr Blvd location would have a truck for me on Friday August 2nd after 10:00AM. Now I am not counting on that as every other time I was told I would have a truck, it was cancelled. Friday comes and I go to the Parr Blvd location and meet with the owner Teri. My truck is there! We try several times to upload a copy of my CA drivers license and the online or email system would not work. Even Teri was frustrated with the "new" system. After a half hour, I was finally on the way with the truck to Richmond to load up. Btw, I mentioned to Sarah, who was on the telephone customer service, that I was concerned with being billed for the Pinole truck that I did not get. She stated that my credit card would not be billed as I did not complete the contract in Pinole. Well sure enough when I checked my credit card account on Saturday, I was billed $812 for the Pinole reservation that I not used. I called customer service Monday and was told that a refund was already being processed. We will see when that happens. Moving is already a stressful process. If not for Teri at the Parr Blvd location and her 2 little dogs, I would have gone somewhere else even if it meant changing our schedule. Some one needs to take a good look at the "new" system and fix it or junk it. Also, when you guarantee a reservation, you better make sure the equipment is there when it is suppose to be!

Using the app was a nightmare. I will never use the app again, I will only go where I can talk to a person. I had to pay for protection I didn't want because the app would not let me choose any other option. The van was great, no complaints with that.

Arrived and no one was there - app didnâ€™t work - after calling # it went to message machine - called U-Haul after explaining I couldnâ€™t get into truck he asked me to hold for a minute - 20 minutes later another lady came on the line and had to have me repeat the reservation # 3 times and then proceeded to tell me my â€œtoneâ€ was inappropriate and she was going to talk to me - almost 1 1/2 hours after my scheduled reservation - at a U-Haul 20 minutes from my home (instead of the place I had originally scheduled the reservation) - 20 minutes on hold she was upset with my tone! Horrible customer service - she should be trained on how to de-escalate calls.
The representative was very nice, friendly and accommodating. The location was difficult to find because the signage was small and not easy to find. Also her computer was very slow and kept myself and another client waiting more than was necessary.

I am very disappointed in the Uhaul expereince this time. I tried to make a reservation online 2 parr but the vehicle was not available and so the reservation wa set for Oddie. When I got to Oddie I was told the the reservation was transferred to parr. Very disappointed in having to travel back and forth. The custoer service person at Parr was wonderful
