They were very accommodating--even after I had taken the truck and saw that I over-estimated and should have asked for a smaller truck. He let me change trucks, and I also decided to tow my car with an auto transport instead of a tow-dolly. He was very patient with us throughout the entire ordeal.

I got charged for one more day than I actually used. It's a hassle to call up multiple people to get a refund. Your U-Haul customer service phone line sucks, it would have been more useful for you to tell me that you were going to try and fuck me over up front, but you wouldn't make money if you did that. You should consider including a disclaimer before beginning a rental. On your contract, it should say, "we are going to try and extort you for more money than necassary. Furthermore, we do not care about how you feel, we are capitalist scum." I don't believe that is located in your contract. I would also like to say that there are people alive in this world, including the United States, who really cannot afford to be charged $30 more dollars, this caused an overage charge on my bank account. Money is extremely sensitive for a 21-year-old, with one parent, and 3 siblings, and 2 jobs. I word hard, and it is difficult to look past the ineptitude of your charging system, especially when I went out of my way to follow to rules and conditions you outlined. Some people don't have the liberty to be charged more money for dropping off a vehicle early. This being said, the car performed well, I suppose.

Agent told me " last customer spilled something in cab so I cleaned it up" but it turned out to be power steering fluid. The truck broke down, had to be towed and I needed to pay people to help the next day. I would say the safety check performed was inadequate. When I called JJ the following Monday I was told I made it up , nothing happened and power steering fluid doesn't leak into cab. Not even an apology.

I notified center that right side rear view mirror wiggled with vibration upon driving obstructing right rear mirror view to switch into r lanes. Was uncomfortable/dangerous sked to make sure to fix with next driver. No way of knowing until miles later lost sight.

Ensure equipment is clean inside and out. Add a 'cleaning' fee when appropriate. Also, why is my selection to bypass insurance via the website registration always 'un-done' and we have to re-do the paperwork at checkout time.

The location of this complaint is new Windsor NY attn Bill ...when you tell someone you made a change don't tell someone you did and change there paperwork in writing on exsisting paper by pen .you caused me a great deal of stress and aggravation the day before my move .having to travel 2 hrs from my home in port jervis ny to Rhinebeck ny only to pick up a 4 x8 unit .while you were suppose to give me a 5x8..very disappointed in u haul for having a representative allowed to do this to customers. Signed... not a happy camper

This does not address the larger issue of U-Haul's "bait and switch" reservation system. This is the THIRD TIME in one year that I have reserved a piece of equipment only to find out that I have to drive to a different location, sometimes miles away, for pick up. NEVER USING UHAUL AGAIN.
