Drop off location was small. That it was at a convenience store seemed unusual, but the clerk/cashier was on top of things and made the drop off easy.

The clerk at this store was awesome. The uhaul company that I rented through was awful. The original rep gave me the wrong reservation number and did not apply my payment to the correct account. I called back to confirm reservation because of my concern with the reps lack of knowledge. Upon speaking with another rep, he was able to fix her errors and make the correct reservation and process my payment. After nearly an hour on the phone with customer service, I was never offered an apology or a discount. Lasts time using U-Haul. 804-840-5612

I received multiple texts about locations to pick up the unit. Once at the assigned location - 18 miles from requested location, there wasn't a ball hitch to hook up the car carrier to my vehicle. I ended up purchasing one once they could tell me the size needed.

When I arrived to this location to pick up the truck, not my original location, the dolly and pads weren't on the truck. I had to drive to my original location to get them. The gas gauge was also marked wrong on the contract which the original store adjusted for me. But I still got charged for gas by the Virginia Beach store despite showing them the newly adjusted paperwork I had.

The tailgate on the truck we rented was very difficult to operate. At one point, we thought the the key was stuck in the lock of the tailgate, and that is why we called roadside assistance. We were unable to lower the tailgate, making our hauling much more difficult.

Regional sent me to this address to pick up a 15 ft truck. it was the closet place to my home with an available truck. I waited almost an hour, the gentleman in the store had no information on me picking up the truck. He made several phone calls and asked me numerous questions. He was very unfamiliar with rental. Received no paperwork, other than the carbon copy of the inspection ticket and had to call UHaul customer to receive the paperwork... Wrong markings of gas hand (took picture of this) and thankfully I did because when I dropped the truck off (one way rental)..I had to challenge them on the gas...they were trying to charge me for not enough gas in the gas tank.... I had put the correct amount in the tank..and I presented my picture of the tank to them. I have rented from UHaul for over 28 years and this is the first I have experienced this lack of service.

The Incorrect mileage cost and insurance cost were given at the onset by one of the owners. Rates quoted were .89 per mile and the insurance rate was quoted as $15 total, not per day. Adequate service was not provided to us at drop off in terms of final cost. Charges were at $1.29 per mile and the insurance cost was daily. I asked for the number to call the person that I was told would be handling my final charges the next morning. Instead, I was given a number to a store on Lombardy. A rep there helped me by diligently searching for my contract number. She finally found it and gave me the number to 60 Mart convenience store where I had made the u-haul rental transaction. There was much confusion in the store during my visits and no regard for my time or me as a customer when I dropped the truck off. Their concern was only for those buying gas and other items. The only positive regarding this experience is that there were no problems with the truck. I would like a u-haul company rep to call me. Please E-mail me for additional contact info. Thanks
