I was not able to get a 20 foot truck at the location I wanted. Rather than actually notify me that the request couldn't be fulfilled for this location, a confirmation email was sent with the new location. I barely even noticed it! The new location was considered "local" and was out of my way to get to. This process needs to be streamlined. I ended up spending more time and money than I'd wanted in this process. One positive thing was the lady who helped me over the phone with customer service did take this into consideration for my mileage rate. As far as the Roanoke location from which I picked up and dropped off the Uhaul, they were great as well.

Pick up location was great.....overall rental experience was very UNSATISFACTORY. Several conflicting notifications thru U-HAUL scheduling office. Pick up location took care of correcting U-HAUL deficiencies and had me on my way.

This place was excellent. HOWEVER, the original dropoff location was 5045 Benois - Blue Ridge Storage. I tried dropping it off 8 hours early, and the place was gated closed with a key pad. I tried calling the place multiple times with no answer. Eventually the phone was turned off. I tried calling U-Haul that night and was hung up on! The next day I went back to Blue Ridge Storage to try to return it and they were still closed with no answer from the manager. I then attempted to call U-Haul multiple times. Was placed on hold for ridiculous amounts of time. I finally got through, was transferred three times and was placed on hold for THIRTY minutes and then I was hung up on AGAIN! The only way I could actually talk to someone was through Facebook, and those people are about as useless as the phone customer service. The only one that was helpful was a guy named Matt. He put me through with James who eventually found us a place to return the truck. However, I was still waiting around for three hours this morning because James was not in contact with Rick at all at Rent-A-Space. I finally got the truck returned after way too much hassle. Rick and Christine at Rent-A-Center were AMAZING. Absolutely loved them; they were really helpful and made sure everything was straight for us. Definitely keep Rick and Christine but I would suggest removing Blue Ridge Storage from your services. Out of curiosity I have called again today with still no answer. Absolutely the most ridiculous experience I have ever had. GUARANTEE I will never use your service again. If I could give you zero or less stars I would. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER.

The door on the UHaul was jammed at times and took a long time to finally pull it down. I would have returned it but we loaded it and needed to go. There is something wrong with the door.

My main complaint is that there was no second key in the possession of the owner after I accidentally locked the keys in the vehicle during Drop Off. The owners were nice and helpful. But could you please explain to me why there would only be one key total to the vehicle?! I would appreciate it if you could help me understand the reasoning behind the UHaul location only having one copy of a key for each vehicle. That doesn't make any sense. 540-798-5222, I will be waiting. Jacob

You need to do more advertising for them because I looked everywhere called numbers no one mentioned ran a space at all but I live near there in remembered the place but when I go to the you haul website they don't show up at all so you need to get him on there thank you Rick and Chris were wonderful people to work with
