The gentleman at the Rossville Neighborhood Market went above and beyond. Initially, when I made the reservation I made it at a location that was ten minutes from my son’s house. I received a text message with an address for pick-up that was a two hour round trip drive to pick up. I called the reservation line and when I spoke to the customer service rep I was told that the location would have the parts I needed to tow since I had not towed with my vehicle before. I was assured that this location which was knowledgeable and would have everything I needed. Once arriving to pick up, the location did not have but one type of hitch and no adapters for the lighting. It is in a rural area. The gentlemen helping me went above and beyond by contacting a local mechanic who came down and was able to hook me up with the adapter I needed. I did end up with a smaller hitch than I should have had (found out when I got home and my husband seen what they had given me which made it difficult to back up with the smaller trailer). Also had difficulty getting a drop-off location that would be convenient for me. I contacted customer service again and was told to have the representative choose ‘customer unsure’ and to call once I gave the trailer hooked up and establish that. I shared concerns with the lady I spoke with through the reservation line about how difficult this transaction had been due to the individual doing the reservation assuring me that this location would have what we need. She was very rude about the complaint and said that the third party vendors do not carry these items. I explained to her I understood but better training needed to take place so that individuals can be prepared - I could have stoped at Hatbor Freight, Wal-Mart or somewhere on my way to get what I needed for the trailer. I learned that it is better to make reservations through the third-party dealerships so you know what you are getting. I have since been told that the person taking that reservation gets a commission on the sale - makes sense since they just tell you what you need to know! I would highly recommend the Rossville Neighborhood Market but not u-haul in general.

This was not the location that I scheduled the pick up from I scheduled pick up in Topeka, they switched it to this location. This location didn’t know I was coming at 9 for pick up. Nobody helped hook up the trailer. I wasted 50 minutes of my time driving out to this location to get the trailer when the location that I scheduled the pick up was only 2 blocks from the apartment we were moving stuff out of
Luke WA cable on the trailer was old and broken at pick up. The rest of the trailer was solid and functional
Jeffrey GThe employee didn’t know what they were doing. I had to look over their shoulder and tell them what they should do. A 30 minute appointment turned into an hour. Plus, the reservation location changed the night prior which added a 30 minute trip to my day.
