I scheduled my pickup at another location and I was asked to drive across town 30 minutes to pick it up here. The U-Haul had just about a quarter of a tank available which required an additional stop to have it filled up before hitting the road. I was also asked to fill out my reservation online in advance with all my information up front. I did that, but still had to start from scratch at the pickup office. Overall, the pickup process was a pain and wildly time consuming.

The staff was amazing! The truck was in good condition. The reason for the 1 star rating is that when i picked up the truck it had absolutely no gas. I had to exit the location and drive less then a block to the gas station and the vehicle started sputtering. Had i not had a gas station close by i would've been stuck on the side of the road. It then took $122.00 to fill up the tank because the gas is so expensive in Sacramento. Had i had a truck with gas i could've left the city and filled up somewhere cheaper.

Compared to my past experiences at other rental locations, that she did not go to the vehicle and walk with me to note any current damages or go over the vehicle operations. The return process on the app was frustrating. I was prompted to submit a photo of the dash on checkout, not a problem, but there more prompts for photos and no option to skip that step.
DONALD NThe person in the desk does not seem to know tf she's doing and seems irritated that I was there to pick up the truck. Kept asking me information I've already provided online when I made my reservation and unnecessary prolonged the entire process. In the end she had to call someone for help. You guys need to provide more customer service training to your personnel.
