We had to do our own checkout including pictures and milage. This seemed odd as the flow of the tasks was written as though it was intended for the staff to do instead of the customer and included steps like accounting for reimbursements. Maybe this is typical for U Haul now but I've never had to do that before. The location itself is a gas station so good luck if you need moving material or straps.

JOSE Roverall, the equipment was clean and well maintained, with the exception of the driver side side-view mirror. The driver side side-view mirror had not been cleaned and was completely covered with bird excrement that I could use the mirror until it was cleaned. Additionally, the Windshield had not been cleaned either and was full of splattered bugs making visibility difficult when driving close to sunset when the glare is bad.
