The truck smelled of mildew. When using the windshield wipers it was like smearing grease/oil with each wipe. Fuel tank was only half full upon pick up. How is a person suppose to gage how much fuel needs to go back in before returning so they don’t get charged a ridiculous fuel rate. I ended up guessing over and put almost ¼ tank more than needed, no compensation for that. Give the customer a truck with a full tank.

I’ve come here a few times. The mgr can be a little rude at times, but not enough to complain about it. Today I had a female tracing a new employee. They were both very polite and helpful. She even let me borrow a hitch adapter for a 7 to 4 pin usually make you buy it. Little things like that go a long way to customer service.

I pulled in and parked, and within seconds, a U-Haul employee was there to help me. He was super nice and closed my rental out very quickly! Between the pick up and drop off sites, this overall U-Haul experience was my best so far!

Not much improvement needed as far as I can see. 5 Star service!!! The manager Cory who worked with me through a very difficult move. Cory went out of his way to accommodate me. Awesome!! costumer relations and people skills this Gentlemen has. As well as keeping the state of the art facility in Sanford NC immaculate!! what great leader as well. constantly giving detail to his staff to help them. The general manager was not what I would call friendly did not give a good impression. But when I dropped off the car the employee was awesome had fantastic customer service! Was friendly helpful and very well knowledged. I'll give her a a 10, the general manager a 3. I wouldn't recommend it is to anyone except for the employee and how well she helped and took care of me. Please increase your employee presence. One employee running this center is just not enough. I have been to this uhaul brance at least five times since it opened and I love the place. Except it only has 1 worker at it at any given time and there is always a large line of customers waiting for service. This is not the employees fault. This is the fault of Uhauls SOP of not having enough full time employees on staff. Please increase your staff at this location. Thank you

so I just completed a relatively simple move. I was moving out of the rental house and closing on a new home and them both being in the same neighborhood made it awesome! To top it off Wrey’s mini storage was 1.5 Miles away. So here is what made the move difficult. I reserved a truck at Wrey’s mini storage and they could not get the truck and I was contacted to pick up my truck in Sanford which was 13 miles away. So I asked the agent, “since it’s not my fault that I’m now driving 11 miles further (22 round trip), can y’all deduct those extra miles from my bill.” He responded, “How about I reduce the rate your charged” and I was very satisfied with that. The night before the pickup I was contacted by Uhaul in Sanford, NC and was given a verbal orientation of where the key boxes are and where my truck would be. I reviewed the uhaul 24x7 checkout video the night before. I arrived at 0445 am and started the online check in. All was going smooth until the “reaction” or “color” test. So now I am taking the equivalent of a Facebook IQ quiz. The quiz started off for example. The word green, in green font and a green square. Then the same with blue. Next comes some trickery. The word black in turquoise font. At this point I’m thinkIng, at 0445 am, “I wish I a had read the directions carefully...” and “Do I press the black square or the turquoise?”. So I finish the quiz and it states “We are unable to rent to you at this time”. So I call uhaul and the answer in a nutshell is, “you only get one shot at the quiz and there is no way to send a re-activation link.” So I call and let all my friends and family standing by at my house to help me know the situation and how I apologize for having the come over so early. I ho back at 0645 and the rental agent had already arrived and was getting the store ready for open. She walks outside and I tell her what happened. She said your keys are in box 3 and the code is 1417. I said but wait, “I failed your online reaction quiz, I need to retest”. Come to find out their is no retest available. Bottom line Uhaul, what is the point? From a corporate perspective, the online check in is designed to ease the process of renting and gives the customer the freedom of picking up when it is confirmation for them. The reaction quiz, is not a way to generate repeat customers and strips the convience away from you. I hope you reevaluate the online check in process.

Do not let THIS Truck out in less than perfect condition. You folks could not pay me enough to drive that truck again! What bean counter has been left in charge of U haul? Quality has really come close to rock bottom.

I realized I would miss the return time still 5 hours away. I called in informing them I couldn't arrive before closing. The rep informed the location, told me to return it to the same spot with no extra charges. I appreciate that level of service.
