(1) Truck was extremely dirty. Sticky substance was on the floor of the cargo and lots of debris. (2) Fuel was falsely charged and refunded. However, HST on the fuel amount was not refunded. (3) Insurance was expired in June this year. The owner said that 'showing my contract paper' would be sufficient just in case. However, there was no clause on the paper regarding the insurance. (4) Fuel was just above 1/4 but the owner marked on half line. I filled gas to the half line to avoid any arguments. However, the owner firstly charged the fuel on the receipt with HST and refunded only the net amount without HST. I found this later because I was super tired after moving. I was lucky to catch the false charge.

I was charged a cleaning fee for plastic material that was in the truck before I picked it up. There was terrible communication with the specific location, they stopped answering my calls after I brought up the complaint. I will never use uhaul again, it was my first experience but it was absolutely terrible.

This location is my favorite. I had to visit two others before finally receiving service at this one. I originally booked at 2950 Kennedy rd. Terminal was down and was told my reservation was sent to the closest uhaul at 1555 warden. Waited 20 minutes just to find out the reservation was in fact not here. 30 extra minutes

They added 2 extra days rental to my contract when it was returned on time.
Owner/operator did not wear ppe correctly, did not enforce other guests to wear PPE indoors. There was an open air butcher shop with two men also not wearing PPE.
Critiques specific to this location: 1. Please clean up the truck 2. Provide me with appliance dolly when ask for it in my reservation 3. Educate your employee about customer service: a worker in this location (20 Nugget Ave) called me the next morning and was extremely rude after knowing I had an accident. He asked me to call uhaul hotline again to report the accident which I did the day of. When I asked why I should do that AGAIN he just said he couldn't find the information/note. The guy then hang up on me. Out of worring, I called back and was being cooperative and willing to provide information, he remained extremely rude, refused to communicate, and insisted on me calling AGAIN which I didn't need to as it turned out. He is the source of my frustration in this entire uhaul experience, NOT the accident itself.
defective equipment that landed me with a ticket. lights were not working.
I ordered my uhual for 12 and it was approved but 10 minutes later I recieved and e-mail stating my pickup time had been changed to 3:30. The app said I would be able to pick up and check in at 2:30. I arrived at 3:20 to see that my truck was not at the location. The worker was not polite or wearing a mask. The Truck arrived after 3:40, I was then invited back into the store by the maskless worker to pay for everything I repeatedly stated I choose mobile pickup, finally I was told â€œthen go outside and do it thenâ€ which is all I wanted but I assume the app wasn't registering the vehicles location until he recorded it online. So I get the vehicle and its a bit of a mess with used tissue in the cab and cardboard boxes in the back. Because clearly in his haste the worker didn't check. Either way I'll be choosing other locations for all future uhual rentals.

Today on October 20/2020 contract number 81834290, I have rent the van at this location, while I was at this location no question was ask when I requested the contract copy , I was told will be received by mail , after returning the vehicle , I have notice on my email without my knowledge coverage was added on the contract for 30 dollar, it was added without my knowledge. Upsetting experience, phone reservation agent said locations close to home did not have trailers available next closest one was this location and we can return closer to home, later that day we received a call and text that we must return to pick up location due to it being a in town rental. Trailer also had broken and half repaired wiring resulting lights did not work properly, agent was aware and also took photos
I gave a single star not for the , but for the fact that Uhaul moved my location without updating me and it was out of my way. I can see now that there is no sense in trying to reserve a trailer in advance because Uhaul just changes it to what every suits their availability at the time. It is a good thing that I did a prechecking online or I would have gone to the wrong location to pick up. The trailer did its job and was a good rental price. The person at the location was courteous and did a good job but I think a second person for a Sat morning should have been on hand to deal with the people as the wait was too long.
Unclear why truck drained its battery. Was able to boost it but caused a bit of panic since I was going to get locked up in the storage facilty.
Friendly and professional service
The place looked like a dump yard, non of the utility trailers or other trailers had a jack and were sitting on the ground When I returned the trailer the manager on site unhooked it and because the trailer did not have a jack it moved forward during the removal and hit my truck causing a dent on my truck The manager who was responsible told me that he will send a report of the incident to the Uhaul head office and when I asked to give me a copy of it he said to contact U-Haul to discuss the next steps Because this incident was not my fault I had expected the U-Haul representative or the head office take responsibility and follow up with me and take care of this incident with minimal stress to me as a customer. I rated Uhaul excellent few days ago at another location but unfortunately this one was a bad experience.
I say avoid this place! Staff were curt and abrupt when I pointed out I had been billed twice for the same rental. They claimed computer error - not likely - carelessness or fraud is more likely. They hoped I wouldn't notice.
