JOIE VThe battery in the truck was bad. The truck started slow but I believe started on the first try, so I didn't think anything of it. I drove to my house and parked for about 5 hours. When I tried to start it the truck would not start. I jumped it and was able to get our move done but I left the truck running during loading and unloading. I parked the truck overnight and it did start the next morning. When I returned the truck the agent had trouble starting it to check the mileage. On a good note, when I picked up the truck I noticed the gas gauge was lower than indicated on the contract. I pointed this out to the agent and she said she would note it and not to worry about bringing it back where the contract noted it should be.
STANTON VWhen I first signed off for my rental I was made aware I would get a discounted rate for using less miles so I tried my best to use less miles and returned the truck only using 1/4 of my total allowed miles. I was charged for the full amount of miles on the contract. It took countless attempts to get ahold of the manager to discuss my receipt and countless phone calls to U-Haul corporate. In the end I had a discussion with the manager who quite literally threatened to charge me more for my U-Haul if I continued to question the receipt. Truly a horrible experience and I do not recommend.
