The mobile check-in & return process sounded promising, but honestly I found it to be a pain. Granted, I was able to pickup the truck before the line even moved inside the store, but that was after taking photos & uploading, having them rejected because my selfie wasn't very good (sorry, I skipped the makeup Togo to Uhaul), & having to find another alternate contact because my husband was in the shower when Uhaul called to verify I would return the truck, so didn't pick up to answer. Returning was equally cumbersome, so I ultimately let the helpful young lady working outside take care of checking the truck in. I get the need for verifying my id & the condition of the truck & terms, but It took me easily 25 min to pickup the truck usinv the mobile system. Thought it would save me some hassle, but it didn't.LAURA K.
They seem to be understaffed on weekends where it is super stressful and chaotic for the workers at the location, not to mention an insane wait for customers in line.Luke D.
It is quite possible I was going through the process incorrectly, but it was rather inconvenient that I couldn't upload a personal photo and photo of my driver's license until after I was at the u-haul location. It was also inconvenient that I couldn't add an alternate contact until I was at the u-haul location. If this process was intended to enable people to pick up a truck at any hour of the day then why could I not enter the alternate contact person sooner? Do you think my sister wants a phone call at the break of dawn when I'm picking up the truck? You should be able to add the required photos and alternate contact before you get to the location to cut down on time spent at the store and annoyance for the people that have to answer the phone call.Mackenzie J.
customer service very terse with customers, upon returning my equipment with damage from another rental I was asked about it, when I repsonded this is what was given to me as a rental, the employee indicated when I responded the damage was already present he responded "we'll see". Understaffed location 10 miles from the original pick up location I was supposed to use (which was a mile from my to/from points). They called to tell me they changed the location but failed to tell me they changed the size of the truck from 26' to 20'. They did tell me they'd credit me $50 to make up for the extra gas for the longer trip, after I told them I wasn't paying for the extra gas. Also, since the location was understaffed, they weren't able to go fill up our truck that was dropped off empty prior to giving it to us (with a gas credit). It put us behind for our movers, because our 1030 pickup (which we were early for) turned into 1050, due to the store being super busy, and then we had to get gas. That being said, the staff was helpful, just overworked and understaffed (aside from the girl that didn't tell me about the size change).JOSHUA C.

The online app check in process is cumbersome. It requires a emergency contact name and number and requires the person to answer their phone whenever Uhaul calls to verify (i.e., no phone messages). The vehicle had one flat tire. App checkout was a bit easier than check-in.Warren B.
This place was awful. The one man working would not help me take off the tailor on my car. I waited around 30 minutes and kept asking him for help or if someone else could. He told me he doesn't know where anyone was. At the end, I told him im 5 months pregnant and can't do this on my own and he said he couldn't help. The rental was fine. However the requested pick up location did not have the truck. Nor did we receive a call 24 hours before the rental pickup informing us the pickup was in a completely different place. We wasted half the day looking for and obtaining a truck that was rented in early April. The equipment had not been cleaned inside or out. I had to wait in line 45 minutes to pick up a vehicle I had reserved online. The gas tank was not filled when I got the vehicle, which I would have noticed before I left but I was in a rush after the long wait. So I had to to fill up 4.5 gallons of gas for a trip that was 10 miles long. When I returned the vehicle, the canopy for returns was overflowing with other returned vehicles and I had to hunt down an employee to let them know I returned itSHANE WILLIAM J.

Overall great experience. Marcus who checked me in did not seem super confident but was very polite and wanted to help me. Upon return the Assistant Manager did not see the note that I saw that Marcus put in regarding me returning the truck at 12 noon, so that was a little frustrating. But the employee who took the vehicle back in was awesome. I had issue with the door handle not working and he addressed that, made sure to take care of the final bill that Marcus had told me, and was very pleasant. I forget his name, but he made a pretty good experience EXCELLENT at the very end. Well done.LEO JAY L.
