The entire experience was a joke. I scheduled and paid ahead of time to do a contact less pickup. When I got the location provided there were no signs advertising U-haul. It was a shell station. I tried to follow the steps on my phone to complete contact less pickup but was sent to a screen that said I needed to go inside that there was some sort of error. I went inside to ask if someone knew where I was supposed to go for U-haul. The guy behind the counter seemed confused. I showed him my receipt and rental confirmation. He then gave me a phone number off some piece of paper and told me to "text shay." I was instructed to not call, only text. That he couldn't give me the key to the U-haul until she gave him the go ahead. Already frustrated over my supposed contact less pickup, I went ahead and sent a text to shay with a screenshot of my confirmation and receipt. I waited for almost 15 minutes with no reply. I tried calling the number and it went straight to voicemail. Another gentleman came in requesting his U-haul and got the same run around. He tried texting and calling and somehow managed to get through to shay. He did not have contactless pickup and I sat there while he texted her images of his drivers license and more. Still no reply to my texts. Okay so 1) texting some obscure number personal information like your drivers license is sketchy, very unprofessional, and should never be an accepted business practice. He finishes up his call with Shay. He hands his cell phone to the guy behind the counter who speaks to shay then hands the phone back. At this point he gives the gentleman his key. The gentleman tried to see if shay could help me while he had her on the phone. He placed her on speaker phone and tried pushing her to help me. She replied with "no, she will need to text me directly and then I will get her taken care of when we are done here." At this point both the gentleman and I reply that I already sent texts now over half an hour ago. The gentleman hangs up with shay and apologizes to me. I thanked him for trying to help me. I then attempted to call and text shay again. Phone calls went straight to voicemail and texts remained unanswered. After waiting for over 45 minutes another employee came into the shell station. She asked if she could help me. I explained my plight. She took a look at my receipt and reservation and apologized and gave me the key saying she had written down the necessary info and would pass it on to shay later. Within 10 minutes I got a phone call and frantic texts from shay stating she needed the mileage on the truck. I find it funny that she was unable to help me for an hour, but as soon as I had the truck she was all over contacting me. This whole ordeal put me an hour behind an already tight schedule and left me extremely disappointed with U-haul.Shawna C.

I reserved a truck at 15315 Pacific Ave, Spanaway WA 98387. The day of pickup I got a call to go one mile up the road to get my rental. The place was awful - a mini mart v an actual U-haul franchise. No masks, no reserved extras like packing quilts, no cleaning. The truck should have been moved to and processed at the franchise. I complained and was told I'd receive a refund. I haven't. Shut down the minimart location. And give me a refund. My father is on chemo, WA has a mask mandate and I was treated like I didn't matter.AMANDA ELIZABETH F.
Their is only one uhaul worker. I did not get billed until 2 days after I returned the truckCrystal P.
Gas station who rents uhauls. Internet was down. Told me to drive down the road to the uhaul store see if they could help. I did. The first person at that store a young male seemed high on drugs. Said ya I dont know what they are talking about. The general manager overheard and said I can help you. She said i can call operations and get you taken care of. She did. Someone called me 20 mins later. Took all my info then ask me to pass my phone to the gas station attendant and told her to give me the keys to the truck. She did. I took the truck. It was almost full. When i read the uhaul contract it said bring it back 1/2 full of fuel. So i did. Returned the truck in Yakima and they said we have to charge u for fuel. It should have been full. Left the uhaul and went to fuel. Meanwhile the person from the Yakima store called me and said are you bringing the truck back. I said yes getting fuel was just there. Fueled to full then went back turned it in. Truck steering wheel is crooked. Front end loose. Guy just asked me if it was clean in the back. Its obvious to me both locations had very untrained staff and little to no communication between everyone.TOM A.
Dropping off the truck i had to repark it several times after already processing it out of my name. I had to text the person in order to process out the uhaul truck and after that today I had to drive back to the store for them to do everything over the phone to get my money back with the deposit. I had to text back and forth with the group as well as make serveal calls to uhaul customers service to see how to get my money back. I took hours out of my days to resolve this and very upset on this whole situation. Please believe THIS WILL BE THE LAST TIME I EVER USE THIS COMPANY. I have used you guys over 20+ yrs. And these last two times I have used your services have been the worst. I will be contacting you guys very very soon.ROBERTO GERALDO R.
