Nothing comes to mind. Great customer service and accommodation, took extra time to ensure the transaction was completed correctly and paperwork all signed accordingly and was very thurough in pricing and the explaination of costs. The gas filler tube was damaged and gas would leek badly at every fill up. The tank itself was fine but filling up was a real problem, not to say dangerous as well. The steering was also a little loose on this truck with a lot of play which made cornering and keeping the truck centered in the lane a constant struggle.

The vehicle was clean and the attendant (I'm assuming the owner of the business) was very helpful but he didn't write down a couple of the defects that the truck had such as a ripped seat and windshield chip. Maybe he did after I left. Also, the vehicle steering wheel was quite a ways off centre to the left and pulled slightly to the right. He wouldn't have known this because the vehicle was dropped off after hours. Overall, I'm very impressed with U-Haul and the quality of service and the vehicle. Just wish it had cruise control... :-)

This location is at one end of "tent city" in Whalley. We had no choice but to park the truck on the street as the business was closed. We couldn't LOCK the back of the truck and there is no lock or cover for the gas tank. This was very concerning to us, as the homeless people were already eyeing it up. One druggie came up to us and said she wouldn't leave it there! we had cleaned out the back of truck and left over half a tank of gas. We left reluctantly, hoping no harm would come to the truck. we took pictures of the truck and its surroundings, mileage etc. We called the uhaul help line but got cut off after 9 mins. we called again & were told to just leave the truck there.

Really heavy on gas they shouldn’t be gas trucks maybe a different bio fuel or deasil because it would of been the same to get a moving company to doit for us with less stress if I had known Is all but the truck did the job and truck is new with lots of power I just wouldn’t recommend for long hauls city or lower mainland is great for it thanks

I reserved online a 26' truck to move and had the reservation confirmed. They further texted me to confirm. Then 12 hours before I was scheduled to pick up the truck I was called and informed that they couldn't give me the 26' as none were available and I would have to suffice with a 20'. I protested saying that I had reserved, but was informed that uhaul doesn't book the trucks until 24 hours in advance. So it made no sense to reserve if they couldn't confirm. She told me there was nothing she could do and gave me a $50 credit. As now I would have to make 2 trips on the ferry paying for a truck, as opposed to one trip with the 26' truck, my costs now were much higher than $50. When I went to pick up the truck I was told the reservation had been cancelled. Then the attendant called uhaul and he was told by the same girl that had spoken to me about giving me the 20' truck that she had cancelled the reservation personally. She flat out lied. As it turned out, they had texted me the wrong address for pick-up of the 20' truck. The attendant was rude and dismissive, the woman on the phone was rude, unhelpful and lied. In the end uhaul cost me an additional $300 to $400 in extra ferry fees and gas making two trips to the island, as opposed to one. In the end I feel that uhaul provides a service, but never rely on them if you can avoid it. It is luck of the draw as to what you get and how you get served. If at all possible I will avoid uhaul.

Tent city 1/2 a block away mentally ill people walking around the truck talking to themselves angrily. No staff at drop off point. Had to phone U haul head office for drop off instructions

Website didn't work well with iPhone. Wrong pick up location was entered for the reservation screen and only said correct location after I hit agree that it was correct. Issues with card machine at time of pick up $15 fee owed in store which slowed down pick up. I express checked in and didn't know about this extra fee. Took about 20mins to deal with.

The system in place is crap!!!! Came from the one on King George to this one to get the van I needed employees are great both locations but your booking system is absolute garbage....

The Langley location screwed up my moving weekend. The girl at Langley booked me for a week too early. She said July 27, but on her computer she booked me for July 20. And she got my email address wrong, so I did not even know about the mistake until I finally called them back a few days later to ask why I did not receive my email confirmation. She had mispelled "tellus.net". Once I received it, I then realized the mistake she made in the date, and then had to call back again. This time I got an extremely rude lady on the phone who lectured me on leaving it too late to rent a truck, and offered no apology for the mistake uhaul made in booking the wrong date. So the Surrey pickup location was great service, but the Langley location was terrible. Also, the 96th Ave Surrey location was awesome in helping me get a truck to help fix Langley's mistake. I'll never deal with the Langley location again!

Your online booking program is faulty. When you start a booking and something is wrobg it is difficult to cancel. Also you need to improve the program so that it tells you when the vehicle you need is not available. Due to the confusion I booked at two different locations for the same day. I went to one to get my vehicle to discover that the vehicle they had for me was the wrong one. The second accidental booking phoned me to ask when I was picking up, They ,fortunately had the correct vehicle. Everything worked out but your online booking is a mess.

The windshield wasn't clean but when requested the person did clean but still want perfectly clean. He stated he is only responsible for the cleanliness of the back of truck and to make sure it is good for long trips.
