Having someone there would help. Self check in/out is a pain. It's like the customer is doing all of the work for you for free. That sucks.

Very easy to locate and plenty of parking.

There was nobody at the office that day, so I had to use the on-line process which would be fine, if it worked. It took me over an hour to pick up the vehicle, because as I was going through the process, numerous times it told me they could not find an account with my email address, after it had worked previously to make a password, and your system was automatically loading the email into the line. After calling the number and waiting for 15 minutes, I was told it was working on your end and there wasn't anything they could do help check me in. Finally we went back through another option, used by phone number instead, created a new password. Through the process I went through 8 different verification codes before I was finally able to get in and continue with my reservation. I don't mind using technology as long as it is working, but with this location being in a place that also doesn't have great cell reception, there should be a back up way the person you call can help check you in, if the mobile site is not working.

When I rented the truck online, I had to upgrade to a larger size because the size I needed was not available in the location nearest my needs. When I got to the chosen location to pick up the truck, I was told that my truck wasn't at that location, but at one 20 miles out of the way. Why was this truck available to rent online if it was, in fact, not available at that location? Then I was charged for the extra gas incurred from driving the car back 20 miles from the ultimate pickup location back to where I started. If I had known this was going to be the case, I would have made other arrangements. Very unsatisfied.

Has nothing to do with this location, but I was forced to drive an hour each way to another town to drop off here. My contracted location for drop off refused my drop-off supposedly due to lack of space, however his lot had plenty of room. It cost me two hours (mountain driving time) and gas both ways to go out of my way to drop off at this location. I think this constitutes breach of contract on U-Haul's part. I made this reservation three months ago and specified Cashiers, NC as the drop off point. To change this the day I arrive is horrible business practice.

Second time U-haul has directed me to drop equipment off at this location instead of my requested drop off in Bryson City. And for second time, no one was here to receive the equipment-- in the middle of the afternoon. Folks who shared the building were helpful. Maybe U-haul should hire them. U-haul sucks.
