Had to unhook it myself, no help at location. No receipt, printer wouldn’t work. Worst u-haul experience I have ever had!

The person renting the truck had never done it before. She had lots of trouble filling out the paperwork. She even called for help but still had trouble. After about 1/2 hour she said all was OK but it really wasn't. I had to return to the pickup location because the rental hadn't really gone through. That took another 15 minutes. Also, since she was the only person there at the food mart, she had to keep interrupting trying to help me with waiting on other customers.

Again, no one helped us unhook or told us where to put this. They didnt know how to do returns so they kept taking other customers instead of us. Then there we not able to print a receipt. They never went out to verify we actually returned the trailer.

The trailer was dirty and the safety chains on the trailer were so worn that they looked as if they were unsafe. The wiring was also nearly cut in two. I took the trailer to the U-Haul store across town and they replaced the chains and wiring immediately. I was not given any assistance whatsoever in attaching the trailer to my vehicle nor did they do any sort of a safety check. This is not what I am accustomed to with Uhaul. I called the uhaul 800 number to complain and I was told a manager would contact me. I am still awaiting the call. I returned the trailer to the same location on Sunday August 6th. I walked into the store, notified the clerk that I had returned the trailer and she said I was all set. On Wednesday August 9th I received a call from the store and they asked me where the trailer was. I told her I had returned the trailer on the 9th and she replied that the trailer was not in her parking lot. I assured her that I had returned the trailer. Six hours later I received a receipt but the receipt showed me returning the trailer four hours later than I actually did and two minutes after the four day time limit. Really? Additionally, this uhaul location is rat hole. They sell bongs and crack pipes as novelty items at their front register. I really cannot believe Uhaul would want to be associated with this kind of business.
