I accidentally left my personal dolly on the truck. I emailed the same night and have followed up with phone calls. The owner is saying he didnt see it. I know they check the truck when I returned it so he is now keeping it for himself and not returning my calls. This is horrible service.



Why there is extra charge . We made only trip just to save some money and later charge me extra .u charge me more than 150 dollar for 1 trip . Well that’s too much

The rental I had booked was one hour late. It would be extremely helpful if UHaul does not double book vehicles and if the staff on the phone COMMUNICATE with front-line staff at the actual rental locations. Many customers entering the UHaul location voiced similar complaints which were received with little to no accommodation from the staff. As well, after having booked online a week before, and being informed that I would receive confirmation the night before, it was 6pm and I had still not received any form of confirmation of my reservation. I then decided to call UHaul to ensure everything was as planned, to confirm my rental and pick-up time and location, etc. On the phone, the employees informed me that my cargo van was not available. They had "upgraded" me to a 10ft truck without my knowledge. They put me through countless customer service/schedule representatives and re-booked my reservation three times. And even on the actual day where I show up on time (12:20 pm for a 12:35 pick-up), my truck was STILL not available due to the previous customer not returning it on time and/or as the front line staff said, my reservation should not have been booked for the time that it was by the telephone staff as they did not have enough vehicles. I have never had an issue with UHaul in the past and have always chosen UHaul for all my moving needs, which have been plenty. But unfortunately, I will no longer be doing business with UHaul as my most recent experience with them was extremely disappointing and frustrating.

Terrible customer services. The van was given to me on empty with the gas light on. I was told to fill it myself at a gas station. No one walked around the van with me or showed me the km reading beforehand. I signed nothing. I was then subsequently over charged on my km usage. I was also told there would be a $20 charge added to keep the van past 4 hours where my confirmation clearly said I had it for 8. After bringing this to their attention they got mad at me and dropped the additional charge. The van itself was gross. There was dried mud and dirt all over the back which got all my furniture dirty. Will never use them again. I hate giving bad reviews but this was a horrendous experience at every step.

The truck I got was a bit dirty and banged up but I suspect it's been used to much that it may be impossible to feel clean. Also, I did book the truck very last minute so my thought was that beggars can't be choosers. I did say yes to the question above as I felt a straight no didn't do justice to the location. The Staff was excellent! They were friendly and knowledgeable and very helpful. It was a great experience in general!

The online, automated tool was cool and I wanted to use it, however, I could not use it because the van that was assigned to me was boxed in amongst other vans. I still needed to go inside and get keys and contract. I was not happy about the time I wasted taking my photo and the photo of my ID only to have to go inside and stand in line.

Utter chaos and disorganization. Reservations are deemed pointless because of the changing pickup locations, and poor communication between stores. Our truck was not at the location they sent us to causing us to drive across the city to find it. Even people coming after us shared the same experience. Really terrible! Very disappointed. Made moving day extremely stressful. The only person who was actually helpful was Donna at head office who was holding things together. Using stores to subcontract makes it impossible to confirm pickup location and therefore not just inconvenient but totally frustrating. 10/10 will not only avoid Uhaul like the plague but will be advising all friends and family to do the same. The online reservation system is great but turns out its pointless come the day you need it!!

Upon returning the vehicle I told the clerk that I had left lots of gas (1/2 tank instead of the required 1/4 tank). He then go into the truck and turned it on and checked the gas level. I then came inside to get my invoice. Instead he told me to leave and he would email it to me because it would take a long time. This was odd because I was the only customer. I received an email invoice with an additional charge of $17.28 for fuel which I had to call in and get corrected. Scam or not, this experience will turn me away from using Uhaul at this location again.



We paid a 300 dollar deposit with insurance than we find out that they stole 200 dollars from me. Then they told my friend with a serious heart condition pay first then we will give you the invoice .The agent for uhaul was full of anger and through my friend out without given the invoice.This was the worst encounter of customer service .I will be going to CNN/ FOX NEWS/ City TV AND 60 MINUTES TO SHOWCASE A STEP BY STEP ..."THE BRUTAL AND PUNISHING EXPERIENCE OFFERED AT YOUR LOCAL UHAUL IN CHINA TOWN TORONTO!!!!!! The person who called to confirm was soooo rude a.when i showed to pick up the van, the actual person was not there. someone else was there and had to call another store to set us up over the phone. i booked the van AND equipment from one month before, and right when i was picking up to van, he said there is no equipment available for one way moving.

Van had an empty tank, a huge dent in the back, and an alarm was going off the whole trip because the tyres were too low. And now I've got a charge on my card, double what my receipt says.

Two things 1. I never opted for coverage nor was I informed about it. Pls refund that money. 2. The van smelled terrible, like some rotten dead body inside. It made the driver keep the windows open throughout in the cold and felt dizzy while driving. Sorry but the experience was bad and not value for money



The truck was very dirty and had a strong unpleasant smell.



i was charged for $ 22.60 dollars cleaning fee which I want refunded because it was not applicable to me and i was not on the contract. Also i see a 1$ environmental fee which i don't see on any agreement. also they never let me sign the drop off sheet which means they might have overcharged me. the service here has been seriously slipping. I book online all the time and suddenly it has become an issue to get the correct size truck. I carefully check the boxes online about what I need and don't need and am constantly getting dollys when I don't want them and then have to deal with them i the truck. I am often cleaning the truck of garbage left by previous drivers so that I don't get charged a cleaning fee. the last truck I rented didn't have a gas cap and the oil light kept coming on and beeping constantly. the previous time I rented I was charged for 80 miles when I only travelled 8 miles and no one will respond to my requests to have my refund applied. my next step will be to call my credit card company and have the entire charge revoked to see if that gets their attention and possibly a Better Business Bureau investigation. I have had almost 2 years of good service here but all of a sudden it has been a nightmare to get the right truck and the yard person is surly when questioned about it.

I requested a pick up much closer to home for a 1 way move. The day before the pick up, I was advised that this alternate location was arranged and they could not accommodate a 1 way. They were very good but not at all what I had requested on line and caused great inconvenience. Frank ensured no extra cost except the "return" trip gas - much appreciated.
