The self check out was a complete mess! It took me an hour and 10 min, 3 phone calls and 2 live chats to finally get they keys to the vehicle. This is totally unacceptable. I should not have been tossed around to call different numbers, then asked to go on the live chat, and then asked again to call another number just to get the keys, because I was receiving an error message on the app.

You have not reimbursed me for my deposit, which your sales rep and I have been on hold for over 40 minutes with your customer service line and now am being told there is no record of my deposit. This rental took place at the movers choice queen west location. There was a bottle of urine in the vehicle we rented, and the truck was very unclean.

The van I rented was filthy. There was dirt, mud and gravel and it smelled terrible. I had to spend an hour to clean the van first.

I was VERY UNHAPPY about he clerk telling me if I fill up the gas it’s the same price roughly. But there was also a THIRTY dollar fee. That was very bad!

Terrible scheduling by the scheduling department. Horrible experience. Movers Choice remedied the issue caused by your scheduling department but would never use UHaul again.

Explain waiting list. When booking. Don't change deposit rate at booking. Make sure booking agent understands difference between Canada and USA when booking. But agent was great and truck was great. Thanks.

The agent at the location refused to let us pay with our visa debit. Even though we called u haul before to make sure that method of payment was accepted. We had to argue with him a lot before he called u haul to make sure it was accepted. It took us over 30 minutes for the payment to be processed. We never had that issue at other locations.

The man who set me up with keys for my rental provided me with virtually no information, including the fact that I’d be returning after office hours and would be required to use the digital/after hours drop off procedure (which I found super confusing). The truck was pretty dirty and had left over garbage from the person using it before me. On the plus side pick up was super quick and easy, is probably use this location again but I was a bit unimpressed with the in person services.

My confirmation booking email provided a location where there weren’t any trailers. No one was helpful. Had to drive across the city to meet more unhelpful people where my trailer still wasn’t ready. Moving is already stressful enough and I’ve never had a worse experience than trying to get my trailer for this move. It took over three hours to get a trailer I had pre booked. Then being charged for not folding the blankets when they weren’t given to me folded doesn’t make sense either.

I only needed the truck for a single day but ended up paying two days for it (rented it on June 22 at 7:30AM and returned it June 22 at 4PM) I was told at one place that I could get money back since i only used one day at one site, and told no at the other site.

I reserved a dolly in advance. None were available when I arrived. Told that one still there was reserved for another customer; not sure why I couldn't have it since I was there first. I declined insurance when I made the reservation online, but the clerk asked me to sign for it. Had to wait 10 minutes while he removed it from my order. Requested a drop-off at a different location when I reserved online. Told when I picked up that it was not possible to do a one-way rental to another location in Toronto. Ridiculous. Had to drive 45 minutes back in rush hour to drop the vehicle off. Location was supposed to be open until 5 but was closed at 4:30. Awful rental check-out experience.....your company really needs to improve its online/customer service processes before an upstart app company puts you out of business...

The truck I had requested and put a reservation on was not there. Instead, I had to take a 25' truck, which was far too large, and created a whole slew of issues with the loading bays at my condo. My Uhaul experience had made my whole moving experience infinitely more stressful than it should have been, especially considering I had made a reservation that was not honored.

No one was there when I got there to pick up the truck. And then when I called the number on the sign, no one picked up. It took 20 min to get a hold of someone.



Over charged. Was late for my pickup because the computer was down the the attendant had to use his cell phone to book my rental. Then when I dropped the truck off I was quote 60 dollars... my invoice was 115! Not great. I'll be using another company from now.
