Reteach customer service to your employee. He was incredibly short with me as soon as I walked through the door like I interrupted something majorly important. Just one dude in a room behind a computer and I walked into that little ghost town office. What was more important than greeting and taking care of a customer walking through the door to rent a vehicle. . I came in on an upbeat too. But he just asked me what I wanted and sounded annoyed that someone was present. So I began asking basic questions like "What kind of trucks do you have available"? He just said "go look out the window and see what we got, "I don't know what we have on site right now, " It was the most unprofessional thing I've ever experienced. If you want to improve I would highly suggest you get another employee that has a high standard work ethic that you trust and could create a competitive atmosphere to challenge the current employee to up his game or something. This is the second time I rented from this u haul location with this same employee and the first time wasn't good but I figured he might have been having an off day or was new or something initially. This second time it was worst and he just seemed careless. I'm hesitant to believe that that he is entirely careless though maybe he just needs some direction or, more training or something.

Customer service was great !
Pete RI reserved a 20-foot truck, but U-Haul called me and said they did not have one available. They offered me a 26-foot truck and clearly stated I would receive it at the same rate. However, when I picked up the truck, I was charged $161 instead of the quoted $91. The information provided by the customer service representative was not honored at the pickup location. It feels misleading when customers are promised one price over the phone and then charged a much higher amount. The pickup location said they had no record of the promised rate adjustment. Very disappointing experience. Customers should not be given offers that cannot be honored. I expected the price I was told on the phone, not a surprise charge at pickup.
