They lied and tried to charge me an additional 70 dollars for gas even though I put it back to over where it was. Nobody at the facility even spoke to me about the issue. Then they acted bothered when I wanted my receipt. I had to call corporate to get my money refunded. I will never rent another uhaul after this experience. And strongly feel I should be reimbursed for the 45 minutes I had to spend on the phone fixing their mistake.

Trailer needed a wash, had to clean the brake lights off. Trailers need a hand crank jack, especiaially for the price! Our truck broke down, had to pay for tow and another uhaul to pull the trailer. It was a nightmare. We should have hired movers. It would have been cheaper.

The lady who took my reservation over the phone was very professional and pleasant to work with. The local reps at the Vacaville Monte Vista store were helpful and efficient in getting my setup, as well as, with my return of the equipment. Great experience overall.

Only one problem - Vacaville swore to me that I would get a refund of $5.00 for every unused bundle of pads. I had two bundles and didn't use either of them. Santa Barbara denied my refund. If I do not receive a check in the amount of $10 I will have no alternative but to sue UHaul in small claims court (including costs of suit) out of principle.

Minor wait, otherwise no problem except that they did not check the truck for damage {I did, and documented it, prior to leaving with the truck) on the papers that they would check on the vehicles return.

just the fact that 2 times we have brought trucks in and charged us for 60+extra miles when both times we have brought in 2 trucks same time that drove together and yet 1 truck given few miles under and other truck same exact trip was charged 67 miles extra.

We had a 12:00 PM reservation for pick up, but were not able to get to the office until 3:00 PM. Our reservation was given to someone else, which intern required us to move up to a much larger vehicle from the size we really needed…. so we had to pay more! We could have or should have called, but I believe it would have been better customer service for the team located at this office, call us to see if we were still interested in the rental. In addition, the clerk schooled me on the policies of U-Haul, which frankly, was quite rude!



Over several days, apparently U-Haul corporate offices (Yuba City) changed my confirmed reservations several times and would have left me without the means to perform the tasks that required the hired piece of equipment for which I contracted with U-Haul and if I had not taken an entire day out of my schedule to correct the problems created by U-Haul. The bait and switch or incompetence of the process was more than out of line. In this day and age of GPS tracking and other technology, U-Haul apparently still cannot deliver on their promises. Even grocery stores know where their shopping carts have gone, but U-Haul seems to not have a handle on much. Certainly not customer service.
