No service had to park and unhook trailer myself no customer service at all. No one even looked at trailer for damage or even if it was the right trailer being dropped off. I feel u haul should at least require basic customer service and hardware checks.



When reserving a specific vehicle, the customer is at the mercy of whatever is available at a specific location. One cannot choose to do business with a particular location because that location's inventory constantly varies. So in essence it does absolutely no good to answer whether or not I would recommend a location. One goes where one has to for a specific need.

They tried to charge me for 2 days, 12 hour rental, when it should have been a 24 hour rental (same price tho). They also over charged my mileage considerably and were not very accommodating about it. Then they suddenly realized that they must have take the mileage off the wrong truck, their mistake. Appers to me like this place is trying to overcharge wherever they can if they can get away with it.

I was charged an additional 65 miles that I did not drive and it took 4 phone calls to the location to actually speak to someone that could look it up. When she read the mileage in and out, I told her it was incorrect and she became very nasty and then I had to talk over her as she was insistent I was wrong. I had rented from another location 10 days earlier, and the second rental was to move the last of our items out of the garage with a smaller truck, so I know exactly how many miles we drove. She told me to stop yelling at her (my voice was raised trying to speak with her) and then she told me to stop yelling at her and she was going to call the corporate office on me and hung up the phone on me. I was on the phone less than 2 minutes and it was obvious she did not want to discuss the situation and was just going to charge me. Then 6 days later, my mother used the same location for her move and also was overcharged for mileage, in which the response was, they got the trucks mixed up, so they pulled the wrong mileage. coincidence? Fortunately she dropped off while a person was in the office, unlike me that rented over a weekend and dropped off when no one was there. Very bad experience.

Office signage doesn't match the name of the location, U-Haul drop off point is hidden from sight, U-Haul key drop off was hard to find.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. I Called the Customer Service 800 number with a couple of questions and they went above and beyond for us. The mileage estimate was right on and we did not have to pay for more miles - this is greatly appreciated. the gas mileage on the truck was awesome! It was a GREAT experience from start to finish, We really appreciate all the help we received it was a stressful move for us, we moved our only child from Valparaiso to Indy. We cannot thank you enough.

Don't allow smoking inside your UHaul offices (I know they're independent contractors, but it's really gross). Guy who hooked up trailer did not hook it up properly. When we unhooked it, we found out it was barely secured. We told them we were returning to the same location as pick-up, but they then entered in a different drop-off location anyway.

I called to see if I could drop off the trailer 3 miles closer to my home As per my reservation but they didn't have my trailer so I had to go 3 miles further and when I called to see if I could drop off at original location I was told that they would charge me 50.00 more Totally uncalled for



Very small office. Not clean. No signage to identify it as U-Haul. Young lady was smoking in the office when I arrived. She continued to sit in the sole "customer" chair through most of my paperwork processing. She was not a customer, but an employee of the business. The smoke was thick when she finally left. UNACCEPTABLE. The lady doing the paperwork was reasonably pleasant.



Staff was very friendly and efficient. Equipment was ready and they even hooked up the trailer for me.



Dropped the truck off at 4:07pm on 09/01/2015. That was the date I was supposed to drop it off. There was no one there so I had to use the drop off box. The contract did not have a specific time I was supposed to drop it off just the date. They charged me for another day. I should not have been charged extra money. I followed the contract.



There was no wiring connector with the trailer. Location told me it would be 4 or 5 hours till they could get one, but was advised auto zone had them for $12.00. Returned the trailer at 4:10 pm the next day and they were closed. Had to make another trip to get the invoice and receipt.



I returned my28 foot truck every and was to get credit which never happened so this will be last time unless I get my credit

I had one pick up location specified on my paper confirmation, but a different one on the text message. The text message had the correct information, except it didn't tell me the name of the business. That made it a little harder to locate.

I wouldn't change anything. Moving is so stressful and Tonya made it so easy and was extremely helpful and made my life so much easier so and gave me a few less things to worry about! ! She provided great service and was extremely helpful and let me know she was there to help and not just take my money and made me feel like a real client not just any old customer. Thanks so much I will refer people and I will be back soon!



I had to unhook a trailer from the uhaul when it wasn't my responsibility to do so and had to clean off the uhaul.

Everything went great!



The pick-up location had me retrieve the trailer so no one bothered to make sure the turn lights and backup lights were in working order which I found they were not. When I located the trailer and hooked it up to my ball there was no electric connection to hook up the lights to my truck and when I returned to the person in charge to report this they said they had no extra hook - up cords and I should remove one from another trailer which I did with the aid of a new employee that was in training.He handed the cord to me and left me to hook it up . After I hooked up the trailer I wanted to check the condition of the trailer and evaluate the right and left turn signals. I couldn't check the back up lights since no employee was present. Anyway the back turn signal was not functioning .There appeared to be a poor connection in which someone had tried to repair the electric cord with electrical tape and the wires were frayed. I returned to the lady to report this and she was surprised that evidently no one had checked the unit. When I told her that I could have been stopped by the police for no turn signal she stated that they would not ticket me but just remind me to get the lights fixed. Finally after 30 minutes of redoing the paperwork for another trailer she asked me to park and unhitch that defective trailer and she found another unit for me which worked but again no one accompanied me out to the new unit for an inspection and evaluation of the trailer. Again By myself I hooked up the new trailer and inspected it for working lights and damage. Fortunatly this unit functioned well but I had to go foraging for a hookup wire from another trailer to get the lights connected. All I can say was the pick-up experience at A-1 Trailer Company was frustrating. Evidently they need to review how to handle renting trailers to customers at U-Haul. The lady was personable. My experience at the drop-off site was great.I would highly recommend the Bloomington Trailer drop-place to everyone. Their service is always terrific and they deserve an A+ for their professionalism and care they provide for customers. Sincerely,Rhett Fagg
