ISRAEL VI was supposed to pick up my truck at a specific location but wasn’t able to self check-in because I agreed to tow an empty trailer and that location was closed on Saturdays. I then had to go to an alternative location for pick up. Then, I was supposed to drop off my truck and trailer at the Chelsea location in Manhattan but the day before returning I was told that it wasn’t allowed so I had to deliver it in Brooklyn (they should have thought of that before offering me to tow a trailer to that location). I agreed to tow a trailer from point A to point B (my pick up and drop off locations) for a determined compensation and U-Haul got both the pick up and drop off locations wrong. I had to go to alternative locations on both ends with the extra costs, time and hassle. The customer service person was extremely arrogant and unwilling to help, basically I was told that I had to deal with it and that I was already being compensated. All these things happened during a weekend where the customer is driving +1,000 miles in 2 days and the last thing they want is to have to deal with mistakes made by U-Haul. I will definitely never use U-Haul again after this terrible experience.
