The Ford van had excellent mileage and handled very well. The negative was stepping out of the vehicle onto the small ledge which was not very safe. Second, there was no indication that there was going to be a cleaning fee and I feel offended that this was never mentioned up front. Dennis Money

We will NEVER rent a box truck in the winter again. Both times that we have, the truck gets stuck on level ground. It took us an hour and six additional people to push the truck out of 2-3 inches of snow due to no traction. The people renting the truck and everything else is fine, but the trucks are very frustrating to use in the snow.

I did the express check-in so I would not have to wait, but it was not what I would consider express. Ihad to explain I already paid only to be told that was just a hold until she realized I had paid, very frustrating! Plus the trailer was not ready it was behind another trailer which needed to be pulled out of the way and the blankets were not in the trailer I had to get them and load them. So much for express check in!

Was told I was picking up at the Macedon location, which is very close to where I live. When I got there, I was told the equipment was unavailable, so I would have to drive to Victor. No one I talked to seemed to care about the great inconvenience this caused me. I had to drive nearly 20 miles both ways out of my way, on my own vehicle, because of an error on Uhauls part. Very unhappy with this.

Despite the website breaking the folks at #Love's Furniture/U-Haul in Newark, NY did everything they could to find me the truck in Victor, NY so I could have a truck for 24 hours instead of the 6 hours that the website defaulted to. Thank you #Love's Furniture

Nothing wrong with the location just wish I had been told before the morning of that my vehicle trailer was in another town. Other than that the girls were very helpful!

I have no issue with either the pick up site or the drop off location. However, your online reservation system and your call center representatives are terrible. Firstly, when I called the my original pick up location you check on the reservation that has been moved from a location five minutes from my home to one some 25 to 30 minutes away, the call center rep lied and told me he's was at the location. When I called customer service about the reservation having been botched, I spoke with Peggy, who was horribly rude. She completely dismissed the fact that I had been lied to. She was nasty and argumentative. I want to be clear that when I finally spoke to the store rep at the intended original pick up site, Andy, he was polite, apologized for the errors caused by the call center reps, and tried very hard to fix the situation. The store reps I worked with at both the pick up and drop off sites were friendly, helpful and excellent. It is your call center staff that leaves much to be desired.

Was told the gas tank was "full" - the indicator was on the "F" so I assumed that it was in fact full. I drove 29 miles - i.e., about 2 gallons of gas. I topped off the tank with over 6 gallons of gas - apparently the tank wasn't full when I took possession. I pointed this out to the customer service rep - I suggested a refund of the few gallons of gas ( not a lot of money) and he told me I should have come back into the store when I saw that the tank was not full, and that I was "pathetic." Nice. Not a good experience. A reasonable response would have been: a) let me see what I can do b) I am sorry, but the system isn't set up to refund money under that circumstance, here is a credit toward a future purchase c) I am sorry, let me have a manager call you. No, I was called pathetic. Let me add that one customer rep hadn't showered in several days, and the other one was dressed in a dirty hoody with a hat covering most of his face. In the future, I will take my business elsewhere.

Unable to obtain the size truck we needed. Ended up with a much larger truck so the contents were not as tightly packed and came loose during the trip. We asked for a 10 foot but ended up with a 15 foot. A 12 would have been okay but the 15 was way too big.
