I had to drive myself to this new location to pick up new truck after the ignition on the first truck (picked up at a different location and closer to where I was doing the move) malfunctioned. I lost a total of 3.5 hours and had to pick up the new truck in a location that added mileage to my trips. Aside from that, the attendant at this location was absolutely great, but my experience overall was very poor because of all the trouble with the defective first truck and how poorly roadside assistance handled the breakdown.

I would recommend they have more personnel and explain how to use the vehicle. It just seemed to me that the attendant wasn't customer friendly. He wanted me to go get the vehicle instead of him doing that. So he took another customer and then went to get my supplies. Then he had told me where the customer exit was, then drove the vehicle to another place.

Online return was a bit long and didn't explain you needed multiple pictures, so of the cargo area meant I opened it took the picture then closed it as it told me they needed a 2nd. Taking a picture to verify the Milage and fuel was very tight because of no tilt wheel

Have a dedicated front desk person who hands off customer requests to specialists in giving the equipment out. Often front is empty of employee whilst they are issuing equipment etc. waiting customers talk about this amongst themselves while waiting. Seems to be a company business model that is not good for customer perception.

Very upset that My reservation was changed to farther location and larger truck that had mechanical issues. The cost of the extra fuel and miles was unacceptable. When I attempted to call U-Haul to complain I was put on hold for over 30 minutes and had to hang up due to how difficult it was to handle truck with messed up steering wheel. Worst experience yet with U-Haul!

We rented a truck and drove it two miles away, loaded it in 45 minutes, only to find it would not start. We called and were told to go online. Went online and requested assistance—it took 45 minutes to even hear from anyone. When we did, we were told it must've been our fault for draining the battery-in an hour?? We were told we would have to wait another 90 minutes for someone to come and perform a diagnostic test. I had to ask that our time that we were paying for with the truck be paused. We did not receive any sort of apology or recognition that this could be difficult. Luckily we were not paying movers or we would have been losing hundreds of dollars by the hour. The customer service representative did agree to extend our time. When I called again, they said it had not been changed. I understand vehicles have issues, but they did not even acknowledge us for hours.


To pay 120.00 for 5 hours is absolutely ridiculous.

When a customer calls the customer care line when they are returning a vehicle to the U-Haul location, and being on hold exceeds one hour, there must be some financial restitution U-Haul must provide to the customer because the customer simply hung up the phone after being On hold waiting for the next customer care professional to answer the incoming call from the customer.

Truck was very old and bumpy. Sunshades broken. Door handle kept falling off. No BAR CODE found to scan location for return. I had to wait for 35 minutes for a representative to take my call to explain the return complication (No BAR CODE available).

According to Roadside assistance, My truck had a bad starter and something else under the hood. I did not feel safe driving it and I was not pleased that no one from Uhaul reached out to me.
