My 26 truck rental was set for pickup in ware,ma but was changed without directly contacting me. I recieved an email and text stating it was changed but I stopped reading those as I was continually pandered to register for an online check in process. I could not pick up the truck from the new location as it was too far away and my wife was being induced into labor the day of pickup. This caused me to be forced to take a 20ft truck. The 20 ft truck was not large enough obviously and I had to take an addition trip to ledyard Connecticut which is just under 100 miles away. This basically cost me 4 hours and the chance to sit down and have a quick birthday celebration with my 4 year old daughter before I had to catch a plane back to Detroit where I am currently working a 3 month long job. I imagine a simple phone call could have avoiding all this assuming you are capable of transporting the truck I paid for to the location in which i paid for it to be. The rental for the 20 ft truck was "cheaper" by 50 dollars. The additional 200 miles I drove however cost me extra money, not just in gas but I was also charged for driving too many miles, which seems like a joke really. Finally this caused me to be running late for my flight so I did not have time to gas up the truck and had to pay 3.50 per gallon at the rental facility instead of 2 dollars at a gas station. I did the same thing at my car rental place. They have the stones to charge their customers 10 dollars per gallon. So I basically ended up paying double for 6 less feet and lost the little amount of time I had hoped to spend with my daughters and newborn son because my reservation was changed and noone bothered to even ask me.
Did not even leave their office to help. Said I had to go find it-had to go buy hitch and ball and couldn't say what size ball or hitch drop I should get. Then said I had to hook up by myself. 70 years old and never had a trailer had to hook up and check lights alone. On way home stopped at an RV place and they checked it out for free. On other hand drop off in Hendersonville NC was great Completely checked out everything including tire pressure when I dropped off-did all unhooking and everything in polite a friendly manner and apologized for my poor experience at pickup.

I had signed up online for a van but when I went to pick it up some technological glitches slowed down the check in process. The staff at APR went out of their way to make good on my reservation and, an hour later, I had my van. Kudos to them for putting the customer first. I would obviously have preferred a problem free check out but it seems as if the problem was partly on my end as well as on the corporate site. When I returned the van, I also had issues with the self return process but a U Haul representative was patient in explaining how to complete on my phone. Good customer service again!
You should have a better sysyem for picking up equipment and have a person present at the site since you claimed to be open. It took me an hour and a half to pick up a truck and no one could seem to help me.
The uhaul truck was clean and ran great. I rented a utility dolly and appliance cushions and when I picked up the uhaul truck neither were in the truck. I was still charged for both items.
Took too long to return truck.
Was closed. They overcharged for extra fay and cleaning without calling to explain

Have vehicles cleared of snow and ready for rental customers. On site employee told customers that it was permissible to take vehicles from lot even though there was a foot of snow on roof of box. It is illegal to drive a vehicle with a snow load on the roof. Employee, a young girl, was alone and had no means to remove snow. I spent over an hour of my time, using my own snow clearing equipment, to remove snow and ice from roof of vehicle.
We would recommend that the foot+ of snow be removed from the top of the uhaul. We had to do and we shouldn't have had to.
Make sure the vehicle will start without difficulty. We were almost stranded as the battery was nearly dead. Upon pick-up, the engine almost failed to turn over. After shutting it off once afterwards and it nearly refused to start, we left it running continually. It was not a pleasant feeling.
When I returned the truck at the scheduled time, 9AM Saturday morning, Nov. 9, 2019 the office door was locked and nobody was there. The hours posted stated that the office should be open, it was not. I left the key and the paperwork in the drop box. On November 11th I received at phone call asking about the truck. I stated that it had been returned on Saturday at the appropriate time for a 24 hour rental. The rental was for one 24 hour period and this is what should be charged to my credit card, any other charges will be contested.

There was broken glass in the parking lot near the trailer. It required me to pull the trailer roughly 30 feet up a hill to avoid the glass. Service counter was fine, but wish they had been more prepared for my arrival.
Got charged $25 for cleaning and that was it any dirt of any sort in the truck the only thing that might've been left was a soda can in the cupholder very disappointed thought for sure when I gave them the information That I would be reimbursed but they said they couldn't find the contract so basically I get screwed but I'm probably not the only one
