Review of U-Haul — October 26 Experience (Absolutely Miserable) My experience with U-Haul on October 26 was one of the worst rental experiences I’ve ever had. It took them 2 hours just to give me a truck. I arrived, and for the first 10 minutes nobody even acknowledged me. One employee was working the gas station customers, and the other was literally doing nothing. After finally saying hi, I waited another 15–20 minutes while they called someone named Edwin, who then put us on hold. Eventually one of the guys put me in a truck and drove me to another location with a lot of trucks. They tried to give me one there, but it didn’t work because they had no keys. Then he drove me back, picked up a key, and drove me again to that new place. During all of this, he was driving so fast I was actually scared for my life. When we arrived at that other yard (near old Okeechobee Rd), he got out and started moving trucks around like he was playing a video game, not operating real vehicles. In the process he severely scratched one of the trucks. After rearranging everything like puzzle pieces, he finally gave me a truck that, thankfully, was not scratched. ⸻ Returning the Truck Was Even Worse After finishing my job, I returned the truck on time. Then I sat in front of the gas station for 45 minutes to 1 hour waiting for a receipt. I never got one. After an hour, they gave me Edwin’s phone number and told me not to worry because the receipt would come by email. Edwin’s phone number didn’t even work, and I never received any email from U-Haul. ⸻ The Billing Nightmare Here is what happened after returning the truck: • Oct 27: Nothing • Oct 28: Charged $58.81 • Oct 29: Charged $48.12 • Oct 30: Charged $48.12 • Oct 31: Nothing • Nov 1: Charged $95.16 • Nov 2: Charged $47.05 • Nov 3: Charged $47.05 • Nov 4: Charged $47.04 I called U-Haul on Nov 1, 2, 3, and 4 asking them to stop charging me and return my money. They kept saying they canceled the charges, but nothing was refunded. I had to call again on November 11 and November 12, and only today (November 13) did I finally get $304.12 returned, along with a final bill of $117.66. ⸻ Conclusion This entire experience was unprofessional, unsafe, chaotic, and disrespectful of my time and money. From the 2-hour wait, to the reckless driving, to the scratched trucks, to the missing receipt, to being charged repeatedly for days, and having to call U-Haul over a week to get my money back—this was completely unacceptable. I would warn anyone to think twice before renting from this location.

The store personnel were super unfriendly, kept me waiting for 45 mins until someone showed up to help me. The person helping me was not trained, had to call someone to show them what to do. The Truck was not at the location advertised. It was kept at a secondary location, which I had to be taken to 3 miles away. The truck had tires in the back of it, and was dirty. Unless I complained, I would have had to take them out myself... I mean, what?
