I reserved a uhaul online and the location never received the reservation but we got 2 confirmation emails. The associated didn't know how to use the software and it took 30 mins to sort it out. We got lucky and they had an extra truck. I got a call later form a separate location that I didn't know saying we had a reservation, when I call them back they were already closed (I called back within 10 mins of them calling me). The lack of communication between uhaul and the store locations made this experience terrible especially when we had a tight deadline and we reserved well far in advance to meet it. We will not be using this service in the future. The truck needed a serious re-alignment, the steering wheel was about 45 degrees off from being straight with the wheels. It was clean tho, I'll give them that.

Some confusion with printing my receipt at home office, wasn't easy to know how to set it so I'd get the entire image of the receipt. Truck ran well! the iPhone process was ok after I found my password. Maybe remind folks to remember their passwords , I don't know, this tech stuff is stressful to me. Truck was fine and accessible for online service. Although I submitted my license three times. Bit frustrating.

I couldn't believe how they nickle and dime customers, I have rented hundreds of vehicles, over past 30 years, and never known anyone add a few 1/10 of mile to make a few more cents. Vehicle out was 520.8, I accepted 520 So surprised they added the 8/10 @ $0.99/mile. I guess 'renter beware' at desperate measures UHaul will go to to make a few more cents.

1. When we rented there were no rates posted... The employee should have stated $. 99 a mile. I was thinking $.58 or $.79.... okay - partly my fault BUT the day we went in to get the truck, a Friday - NOT a weekend, it was $.99... No sorry Ma'am... 2. They wanted it back to schedule asap...No rate drop for 8 or 10 hours?! Your policy cheats the consumer..so we said we would keep it 24 hours. Felt like they thought that wasn't right. We actually returned it in less than 6,six, hours as we thought since we were done, it would

When I once again tried to use the phone app, it only redirected me from my original drop off to another one AFTER I went to great lengths to park the truck. When I arrived at the new location, the gentleman responsible for checking me in, saw me park, ignored me and then disappeared, adding another 15 minutes to the drop off while I searched for him. This is not the UHaul I remember from five years ago...it is a mess!

The staff at Essex Agway was efficient, friendly and extremely helpful. They were able to get me in and out with a van in 10 minutes. The van was great and the price came in exactly as estimated. I will definitely rent from them again!

Make sure your agents understand the rules and they shouldn’t be telling you you can be reimbursed for extra days that you don’t use when the agents down here in North Carolina tell you you can’t be reimbursed. Also they should check the condition of the trailer the one they rented me leak like a sieve and all of my stuff inside when I got down to North Carolina 22 hours later was wet make sure your agents understand the rules and they shouldn’t be telling you you can be reimbursed for extra days that you don’t use when the agents down here in North Carolina tell you you can’t be reimbursed. Also they should check the condition of the trailer the one they rented me leak like a sieve and all of my stuff inside when I got down to North Carolina 22 hours later was wet . I think it would’ve been better to leave all the stuff in Vermont and give it away.

The truck only had half a tank of gas when I picked it up. It was a little inconvenient. I would have preferred a full tank of gas, it would have made life easier. Also there was a short wait when I was dropping it off because they were busy in the store

I would like the option of a non-smoking rental. Our smokey truck was fine for our short runs around town on a nice day, but I would have been pretty unhappy to have to have gone any distance with the windows closed.

I was charged for an additional day and the uhaul was returned on time....24 hours. Also, i should have had a mileage reimbursement as we only drove 20 mikes versus the estimated 40.... very dissatisfied. I caled the location and was rokd i had yo call an 800 number which i have now been on hold for almost half an hour ... very upset right now!!!

I had indicated that I wanted to pick up the truck at a location where I live, I was only notified 2 days before that I would have to drive 35 miles away to pick up the truck at this location. This added 70 miles to my cost of the truck to say nothing of the inconvenience as I needed someone to take me to this location.

I was incredibly frustrated by the fact that I had to drive an additional 140 miles (35 there to get the truck, 35 back with the truck, 35 to return te truck and 35 home) because the truck was not available at my preferred pickup location. I was unable to get through to uhaul customer service despite trying many times and waiting on hold for an average of 15 minutes each time. While it worked out in the end, the whole experience was a giant headache. Uhaul can definitely step it’s game up when it comes to customer service

I called and asked for very specific things when I reserved the truck. When I got there to pick it up there was no record of the conversation that I had with the people there. It took twice as long to get checked in because of it.
