We were given the wrong truck so our check in was painful as none of the mileage matched. Then when the truck was supposed to have 1/4 tank of gas it was below the empty line. The woman at the counter (Candace) insisted that the system was unable to change the level of gas that we started with but assured us that it was noted it was on empty after we asked about it twice. There was no dolly or moving pads for rent inside the truck as there usually is. We went even sure we would make it to the gas station after leaving the office. When we returned, Michael helped us check out and we triple checked with him and explained the gas level situation to make sure we would not get charged for not returning with 1/4 tank. He went on to confirm that what we were told was incorrect, that Candace could have changed the gas level at the time of rental and that if he would not have fixed it for us we would have intact been charged the 1/4 tank of a gas and the service fee. We are extremely thankful for Michael's customer service but also extremely unhappy with the sequence of events at the time of rental. As far as I'm concerned that is fraudulent activity and that employee should be fired.

I felt the trailer was too beat up for my valuables. There was gaps in floor that allowed water from rain in and I had to stop at Home Depot to get a tarp to put on floor. Also the door would not slide up half of the time so I could check on cargo. VERY frustrated with those issues. But I love uhaul and your rentals saved the day many many times when my equipment failed and I needed backup. Take care, Jack

The person who checked in my truck wasn't masked or following any Covid protocols. I wouldn't recommend to my friends to use this location until after Covid is gone, maybe in a year. The person who rented the truck to me was following Covid protocols.

Great customer service


The lady that booked my reservation in woodland changed it to a sacramento location. Then the size of the truck was wrong and smaller which made my move harder. Then they messed up on how many days I needed the truck and called me in the middle of my move to bring it back. I will never use uhaul again after this experience. Your company made my move harder and more stressful.


The service is unbeatable, highly technology, no personal contact. Cars maintained in good condition, sanitized after return. Highly recommend this place - U-Haul Moving & Storage of Woodland. In this store you can find everything for moving.

I think the only thing would be is to always have two employees available when checking back in. Instead of one employee manning the in store counter and truck check in. Other then that GREAT experience!!!

there was confusion regarding the delivery date and a phone call was made on November 2 asking why the trailer was not delivered. another phone call was received the next day and I was told I had until 5 pm November 3rd to deliver the trailer. when I arrived at the location, the associate said they would have to charge another day, but changed that after checking the contract.

The young lady that helped us was extremely friendly and helpful. She was fairly new and had to make several phone calls to be able to process my transaction mostly correctly. The only thing I would suggest is make sure they are comfortable alone before being scheduled alone. But she never gave up trying to problem solve for me.

Very slow service. I was there on 10/31 and spent about 1.5-2 hours at the store between pickup and drop-off for my rental of 2 hours. Some of the employees were not knowledgeable of their job. I was double charged for my furniture pads and CDW. I did not receive the fuel credit of 31 dollars as promised after I filled the Empty tank with 1/4 tank of gas. I was told I would be contacted by a manager on 11/2 to issue a refund of the charges made in error, as well as the fuel credit. I have not been contacted yet. I am extremely dissatisfied.

We originally reserved a 20ft Uhaul, only to be told a day before our move date that it hadn't been returned. Then we were told we could rent a 26ft Uhaul, only to be told it was rented out in the 30 second phone conversation that occurred. We were then forced to use a 15ft truck to move a 4 bedroom house. Very poor customer experience.

The van I picked up was clean on the inside but the entire front was covered in runny med streaks and bird droppings. Also after returning the van ahead of the time due and the tank fuller than I picked it up, Uhaul tried charging my debit card again for reasons unknown. The charge declined because I had spent the last of the money in my account renting the van, but hopefully Uhaul won't try and charge my card again when my direct deposit goes through.
