Moving Helpers are individuals or small businesses who offer their labor services on our Marketplace, many of which specialize in loading and unloading U-Haul truck rentals and U-Box® containers.
I needed movers at the last minute and within 10 mins of looking I found this company, Loved the team that helped me move, I will definitely recommend them to any family or friends that are moving. Communication was fast and easy, on time and the vibe with the team was amazing they were strong and very easy to work with.
I ended up having to leave a lot of furniture behind because they didn’t communicate what furniture would need to be broken down until the end, when all of it was still in my apartment. And although the truck was only 12ft, the method of packing furniture last was not wise. Also, even allowing time to move things around, the two movers took many breaks. Often, we would be sitting for 20 minutes or more with no sign of them. We even went down to the truck a few times and didn’t see any sign of them. Towards the end we were bringing the furniture down ourselves because of it. My one bed apartment took 4 hours and they didn’t even finish the job. At the end they asked me to pay them directly for extra hours (through venmo or zelle) instead of through U-Haul. When I expressed concerns they called their manager and misrepresented the circumstances, as if I didn’t want to pay at all. The whole experience felt closer to a scam to charge extra the hours and I was very disappointed overall.
