Our local helpers have been helping people move since 2002.
Moving Helpers are individuals or small businesses who offer their labor services on our Marketplace, many of which specialize in loading and unloading U-Haul truck rentals and U-Box® containers.
While they did a good job during the move itself, they're planning and communication was poor. I called a month in advance, to schedule my move, and they said they would get back to me a week prior to it. They failed to do so, and showed up too late to pick up my second moving pod, which forced me to throw out some of my furniture because I couldn't move it in time.
I feel like there must be multiple sets of movers because some people seem to have great experiences and then we had one similar to another review on here. They showed up on time but seemed to be sleepwalking. They got the job done (eventually) and were careful and polite. However my spouse was loading 5 times as fast as these guys and he's a lot older than them. One of the guys sat in our bathroom for over half an hour and had to be told by the other to get out once my spouse complained. We ended up needing an extra hour, which I wouldn't mind paying for at all if they had been moving along, but as it was my spouse lifted the heavy stuff with one of them while the other did not do very much.
They did a fantastic very professional job went over and above to ensure that everything was moved correctly and continuously asked me if there’s anything else they could do. The move was by a lake on a hill and they did a fantastic job. I would highly recommend them to anyone and everyone.
