Moving Helpers are individuals or small businesses who offer their labor services on our Marketplace, many of which specialize in loading and unloading U-Haul truck rentals and U-Box® containers.
The movers arrived 15 minutes late and then asked to leave 20 minutes early which is disappointing since we paid for 4 hours and didn't get the full time. They were very young and inexperienced so they were quite slow, we didn't get to finish moving everything in the time we had with them. I paid $20 each mover tip so I will not be paying one online.
Helpers scratched the floors of the house by dragging the dining table all across the living room. They took apart a bed frame and lost the screws. It took them 8 hours to not finish loading and unloading a 3 bedroom house. Had to rent an additional uhaul the next day to finish moving. Now trying to get the company to respond for the damaged floor and I get no answer back.
Overall, the service was okay, and they got the job done. They seemed less experienced with moving and a few things ended up damaged. One mover we ordered did not come so it took longer than expected. Communication about when they were coming could have been improved. We’re grateful for their help. Overall, the guys were nice, respectful, and hardworking.
