• The movers were careless and caused damage. The point of contact ignored it completely. The movers gouged my wall with my couch. It wasn't simply that they accidentally hit the wall once. The gouge zig zags in three directions as they continued to ram the couch into the wall back and forth until I told them to stop. At that point they laid the back of my couch onto a post with all the weight on a single point. You could hear the ripping sound as they tore my couch. At no point did the coordinator respond to my texts nor calls. As a comparison, they dragged our mattress against external stucco. That was the kind of thing that can happen during a move. It was accidental, because the mattress was heavy and unwieldy. I let that go. The prior incident was clearly just being careless. It seemed like it was the movers first day, and they spoke zero English. This was the third time that I hired movers through this service. These guys were the slowest moving of them all.
