Moving Helpers are individuals or small businesses who offer their labor services on our Marketplace, many of which specialize in loading and unloading U-Haul truck rentals and U-Box® containers.
Our movers were very helpful and accommodating during our move! We had some inconveniences come up with our apartment complex’s freight elevator and our truck was late, but our two movers hopped right into action. They packed all our stuff within the 2 hours and packed it well! When we received the pod a week later, everything was in place and nothing was broken.
I will make this brief. We hired 2 men for 2 hours. One (Jack) worked hard and did not stop. The other man in the job pretty much stopped working a few mins in. He stayed on the truck and handed us boxes . He also sat on the stairs multiple times resting. The rest of my family had to move the items in and help with the furniture prices. With our help, because we are not people that don’t help, we had the job finished in 1 hour. We paid for 2 hours of work. We were very frustrated with the situation. The reason why we paid for the help was because we had spend the two days prior to the unloading, loading on our and and then a long drive here with additional two vehicles to unload before the moving truck arrived. If customers pay for 2 hours of work then I would just expect actual work being done. Again, Jack the one gentleman on the job worked extremely hard and didn’t complain at all! He was amazing.
