About Us

Honest. Careful. Fast. Friendly. Responsive. I started Steve's Moving in 2022, shortly after retirement from 35 years of public school music teaching. During my adult life, I have moved many times, and I have helped many friends and relatives move. So I have a pretty good idea of what it takes, what all has to be remembered, and what could go wrong. AND, how to make sure things go right. During my career, I took many high school bands on trips both in-state and across the continent. Moving a large band with all of its equipment, uniforms, luggage, students, and chaperones is like moving an army! There are so many logistics to be thought of, considered, worked out, and planned for properly. It always worked out very well. I hire only highly responsible, kind, and hard-working help, mostly students from Iowa State University, who are eager to please and who can really use the money! We will treat you and all your family and all your belongings with the greatest care and respect.

  • One of the workers said the were hung over and they also put my 75 inch tv screen first against a metal rail outside then it fell damaging the screen. If I hadn’t been helping would of taken them so much longer

    The worker was not hung over; he doesn't drink. He was not sure what was wrong with him until he got to the hospital; apparently he was severely dehydrated. Lemme know what I can do about the TV.
