  The Moving Experience

  Mover arrived solo even though I requested twice that he bring someone. Comments that boxes were heavy when I had asked he bring someone to help. Took off his shirt almost immediately. Multiple neighbors mentioned this made them feel uncomfortable. Used my bathroom 3+ times and did not close the door despite me prompting him to do so. I felt uncomfortable with this. Asked personal questions including if I live alone, contents of my boxes. Disregarded fragile, this way up labels on boxes. While unpacking pod multiple boxes were placed ignoring 'this side up' message, were crushed. One piece of framed art arrived very damaged, had been loaded with heavy wooden furniture against it which dented, scratched the art. Mover was very pushy about a tip and asked me to add a tip via phone in front of him. I felt pressured when he requested cash instead. I said I had none he offered to drive me to an ATM and was very insistent that I accept this offer. Would not recommend this mover to others.

  Goodfoot Movers

  I used 3 different companies booked through Moving Help.com over the course of 2 weeks for a multi-step, complex move. By far, Goodfoot Movers was the best. Incredible packing job of my truck, cheerful and positive approach, very kind and hardworking. I have some basement stairs that will kick your butt and they had to move a lot of boxes from there - I never ever got an irritated vibe from James or Mon'tay - they were super professional and really made my life easier and made me feel calm on a day that is usually very anxious for me. AND, they were less expensive than most of the other companies. Highly, highly recommend GoodFoot Movers. I will call them in a heartbeat when I move again in Michigan and need loading or unloading help.
