Antoine and Chris were lovely to have around this evening while them, my partner, family, and I all moved us from my studio apartment to new two-bedroom. This is my partner and I's first time living together and in a lot of ways feels like we are finally living our shared dream together in a new space, so when we weren't able to find some (more brawny)friends or family members this morning to help with the big stuff we needed a solution and quick. Our solution today came in the form of two bright young family men with a kind smile on their face, a devoted look in their eyes, and a dream in their hearts that I know all too well as it is the same one that drives me to be better every day. In the hustle and bustle of moving day on a busy Friday evening on Chicago streets, I found myself relaxing into quick bits of chat with Chris and Antoine while waiting for the next box to be packed and ready or figuring out how best to fit a hexagonal table base into a u-haul. 10 out of 10 all around.
