Moving Helpers are individuals or small businesses who offer their labor services on our Marketplace, many of which specialize in loading and unloading U-Haul truck rentals and U-Box® containers.
I booked them for 3 hours and the job was done in 2. That’s fine, however, they chose not to use the dolly I rented and things were handled a bit rough in haste. They could have used the time to be more careful. Scooted furniture caused mild floor scuffs. This is my third time to use a crew from U-Haul. The others were 10s. These guys worked hard and I appreciated their help. I didn’t tip because they were paid $85 for an hour they didn’t have to work.
They were absolutely awesome help. Definitely recommend them and would use them again.
I hired moving service when I moved to Richmond and they were friendly and patient hoping I'd get the same experience. I'm in a state where I do not know many people to help and with my severe medical issues I knew I would need the help moving my belongings to a storage unit. I'm not in the best financial state due to this economy and was not expecting or prepared to have to purchase a other U-Haul the day after the movers because of how much they left behind - not referring to the things I told to leave. I am blessed to have amazing neighbors who helped me move out by my deadline in which I was trying to avoid by moving the day prior when I hired the movers. My friend witnessed with me how cold and unpleasant the one mover was including rolling his eyes and showing he did not want to be there. Dark experience. I did take pictures to show the large items they left in which I was hoping they'd take. I got the same size truck as my storage and everything fit after all said and done.
