  • We hired Jump Start Moving (movers were Edwin and Jose if I recall correctly) to unload a 20ft truck into a 3rd-floor, 2 bedroom apartment. Overall rating - Fair. While the movers arrived on time and there was no breakage, the experience was mixed. They brought no equipment and the unloading was haphazard. We had to constantly direct them, as more than half of marked boxes were misplaced, and staged contents blocked the hallways. The biggest issue was a communication breakdown regarding a large couch that needed to be moved up the stairs because it didn't fit in the elevator, despite us disclosing its size beforehand. This resulted in damage to the building's drywall and abrasion to the couch fabric. We did not file for damages. While Jump Start met minimum standards, our experience was less than positive, especially compared to other MovingHelp service experiences and we would not opt to hire this particular crew again.
