Moving Helpers are individuals or small businesses who offer their labor services on our Marketplace, many of which specialize in loading and unloading U-Haul truck rentals and U-Box® containers.
Chris and his crew were absolutely exceptional!! They communicated throughout the whole process; arrived on time; were professional and extremely friendly. They did a 3 story walk-up apartment in Astoria (on a very hot August day), and it went great!! I was nervous because they were not the most expensive movers, but I would not hesitate to use them again!! If you're in need of moving assistance, I would highly recommend them.
Horrible. Two movers were supposed to arrive at 12pm. 20 minutes before that, they texted that they wouldn't be there until 1pm. No one showed up until 1.15pm, and it was only one person. They were supposed to load and unload, and I had to do all the loading myself, despite medical conditions. Only one person then did the unloading. I got one person for one hour for half the job. Apparently the second person was finally available around 2.30pm, but the job was done by then. When I told them that, the response was, 'Are you serious right now?' They were very unprofessional about the whole situation and played games about giving a refund, which we are still going back and forth about. Awful experience overall.
The movers did a wonderful job — their work was professional.
