Our local helpers have been helping people move since 2002.
Moving Helpers are individuals or small businesses who offer their labor services on our Marketplace, many of which specialize in loading and unloading U-Haul truck rentals and U-Box® containers.
They were very friendly and completed the move faster than I anticipated. There was some confusion in communication since my parents booked them, even though the move was for me. Most of the communication was through my parents. It would have been nice if there was a way to have two contacts so I could coordinate. Other than that, everything was great.
Good communication but the service was not adequate. They didn’t bring any equipment with them (dolly or hand truck) and the loading job was terrible. They didn’t utilize the mom’s attic space, didn’t utilize the ratchet straps that I provided them, and they ended up tossing our belongings all over the place, none of which were secured down. Our mountain bikes that cost a few thousand dollars were left vertically because they ran out of room. It also made loading additional items impossible to do so. I would not recommend these guys unless you don’t care about your belongings. The guys that unload our stuff were not impressed with the loading job.
