  One Box Helping Hand

  Had 2 professionals and one guy on his first day. It was obvious he had no training and was so slow he cost the move another hour. He was carrying 2 things at a time. Movers were hours late. And the organizer communication was very last minute and inaccurate. The only good thing was the amazing customer service and skill set of the 2 professional employees. I’ve moved dozens of times and I’m a great packer and it should not have taken an extra hour for my move. This is the 3rd time I’ve used this company in the last 6 years and it will be the last.

  While the movers were cordial, I had a few key issues. 1) They showed up an hour late, causing me to have to scramble to adjust my u-haul rental time. 2) They came from another job (which is why they were late) and pressured me to use 3 movers (Even though I only requested 2). They all showed up, and said they needed 3 for the earlier job, and that it would go faster with 3 people. I didn't feel comfortable to say no 3) They ended up taking significantly longer with 3 people. It was very frustrating. I was only moving .25 mile away and said we should make mutliple trips. But they insisted on trying to get everything crammed into the uhaul for one trip, taking 4 hours just to pack a few rooms 4) They ended up forgetting things (like an entire bed and dining table). 5) I had to pay for the extra time even though I bought them dinner and they took a 30 minute break to eat. Overall, I ended up spending an extra $335 over what I was quoted (almost double). Will not use again
