I had a terrible experience with 1st Care Movers. I chose them because of the positive reviews so please take this into consideration if you’re thinking about using their services. I hired two helpers and one was great, the other was rude and unprofessional from the start. He had a bad attitude when I told him our building didn’t have an elevator (he hadn’t asked prior) and it was downhill from there. He was bossing me around and telling me to carry heavy items down myself. He also scuffed the floor in the hall of my building from my door to the stairs, dropped a box of electronics with a fragile sticker, and broke a chunk of wood off a pillar, but they are not insured so I was left to cover the cost. They sent an email stating this about 2 days before they were scheduled to help, so I didn’t have time to find another company. PLEASE DO NOT GIVE YOUR PAYMENT CODE UNTIL AFTER THE SERVICE or you will not be able to get a refund.
