When I first booked, I received a confirmation that the movers would arrive between 9 to 11AM. The morning of the move, there was no communication. I texted the number from the confirmation—no response—so I called U-Haul. They said it was unusual but confirmed there were no complaints and that ours was their only job that day. They sent an alert to the movers, and I eventually got a text saying they’d arrive in 90 minutes, already 30 minutes past the scheduled window. By 1130, they still hadn’t shown up or followed up. They finally arrived at 1150. From the start, they didn’t seem eager to get going. This was a small one-bedroom move that should’ve taken about 30 minutes to load, but they stretched it to fill the full two-hour window. They even claimed everything might not fit, though it did easily. Overall, the experience was disappointing and felt unprofessional. I did tip them, but I normally am more generous but they didn’t seem to want to work.
