  I was pleasantly surprised by the two movers completely emptying my 15ft truck in just over two hrs. I did not like that they stayed a couple mins over and their boss expected more money without authorizing this with me first- so their ‘tips’ (extra money I gave them) became their pay per their boss. There was a language barrier so everything went through a third party- the man who called prior to services was very friendly, but when they were done and wanted more money a different man called who wasn’t as kind. The movers did well as long as they didn’t lift aka ‘steal’ anything. They demand this rating prior to allowing customers to check everything out and prior to refunding my handling fee. I worry that the boss is keeping an unfair portion of the movers’ pay. The gentlemen who did the work seemed kind and did more than I expected. They didn’t charge stairs fees, large items fees, etc. Overall satisfied.

  A STEP ABOVE MOVING

  These guys were great. Best movers I've hired through this site (and I've moved quite a bit...). They were friendly, personable, fast, and best of all, great packers. I've gotten helpers in the past who had no idea how to pack a truck efficiently, but these guys filled every space and got all of my stuff loaded, secured and ready to go. They were very careful about rubbing against walls with furniture in our narrow stairway and ensured that everything was wrapped to prevent any rubbing or damage in transport. I highly recommend A Step Above.
