Moving Helpers are individuals or small businesses who offer their labor services on our Marketplace, many of which specialize in loading and unloading U-Haul truck rentals and U-Box® containers.
The movers themselves were incredible. These guys were super professional and helpful, worked very hard and earned their gratuity. My primary complaint is that I booked the move and waited weeks to hear back from anyone despite emailing directly. I finally called someone and they helped me over the phone to secure the move and make a schedule. I see a tip option, but I compensated the movers directly.
Would never hire again. After directing what to move, and had to leave. When I got back after they had left I looked in the truck and toward the end of their time they had just thrown things in. Nothing was stacked efficiently and things were also stacked on delicate furniture items that could have been broken. When I reached out I was told it was my husbands fault because he was supervising. And also that we had not given blankets. Both of those things were untrue. Instead of asking how to help or how to fix the issues or to come back or offer a refund. They were defensive and accusatory. We had to hire someone else to come and unload and reload the truck! Awful service and awful customer service. Unfortunately my husband even gave them a cash tip of $100 before he even looked in the truck. That mistake was on us. But we should not have to stage or supervise paid movers. Awful experience. Delayed out move by 24hours. I have photos so please don’t reply to this review and be defensive
Anthony packed so well and was super efficient. He loaded the truck better than we could have. He went above and beyond as well. I was moving downtown, and the streets were blocked off for an event. Anthony split the move into two parts of the day and came back to help us unload at night. I know this was a massive inconvenience to him, but he offered to do it without us even asking. He works super fast and get's the job done. We appreciate it because moving is stressful, and he helped the day go by so fast.
