• The movers were responsive during the booking process, but overall they were unprofessional and damaged my furniture. After booking, I was told the move would cost an additional $20 per hour and was asked to pay the difference through Cash App instead of updating the U-Haul booking. They also asked me for rides to and from the unloading location. Before the move, I wrapped my solid wood dresser in a furniture pad, but noted that it was loaded upside down, and after unloading I found deep gouges on the top. The furniture pad was also left in the U-Haul, meaning the dresser was carried up three flights of stairs unprotected. The mover acknowledged the damage, said he submitted an insurance claim, and told me I would hear back within hours. It has now been a few weeks with no resolution despite multiple follow-ups. Other furniture also sustained scrapes and splintering, and my mattress encasement was left dirty after being slid around, causing the mattress bag to partially slide off.
