An Absolute Pro--I spend a lot of time as a professional dealing with what comes when people act before they do. So I was absolutely delighted to see that my mover, Mel's, entire philosophy is to inventory and think before acting. For my rather complicated move, that made all the difference. And the proof is in the pudding--hundreds of pieces of glass, heavy totes filled with auto parts, awkward and heavy items, and my whole household (two full 26 foot uhaul trucks filled to the brim, and my pickup truck filled multiple times) moved without one broken item, no shift in the truck, and repacked into a much smaller house on the other side. I can't emphasize the gravity of that outcome enough, so I'll say it again. Not one thing shifted, not one thing broke. Mel and his team are who you want--their work ethic is astounding (we moved on one of the hottest, most humid, and buggy days of the year), and the experienced approach shines through. Mel the Mover, is my mover for life.
It was not a good experience. Two movers showed up. One of the movers left all of a sudden even before starting. It took another 2.5 hours for them to find someone else to help. They dented and broke a lot of our furniture. Despite all of these grievances, they gave me a hard time negotiating a fair adjusted price.
