• While pre-move text communication was adequate, the company did not honor the confirmed start time. I received a text at the scheduled start time stating that the crew would be 1-1.5 hours late. Based on a text received by the person I listed as an alternate contact, I suspect the company double booked the time slot. Having traveled 2.5 hours to be there on time, this was extremely inconvenient and a significant waste of time. In addition to the above, the movers damaged a dresser drawer as they were carrying the dresser. The drawer slid out and fell down a flight of stairs, breaking off a piece of molding. I reported the the damages to U-Haul via their website as well as the person I was communicating with about the job. The most disappointing part about the entire move is that there didn't seem to be any sense of concern about either missing our confirmed appointment time or damaging my property. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this mover.
