Moving Helpers are individuals or small businesses who offer their labor services on our Marketplace, many of which specialize in loading and unloading U-Haul truck rentals and U-Box® containers.
Was some miscommunication regarding cost and number of crew but the job did get done. Not everything made it into the moving truck unfortunately so some downsizing decisions had to be made on the spot. However I will say that the packing job that was done was indeed very secure and everything (so far as we have seen while unpacking) made it here ok.
After booking moving services, I was contacted almost right away to confirm and discuss my needs. Every step of the way, communication was great and the movers were professional and kind. 10 out of 10 recommend!
Sam was great, however Ruben was extremely unprofessional. I did not feel comfortable with the way he recklessly handled delicate and fragile items, and when we would ask him to be careful with it, he would completely dismiss us. He acted like a child, even riding one of the moving carts like a scooter down the hallway, which ended in him crashing into the wall and denting the wall in which I will likely now be held responsible for (I have video proof). He would stack heavy boxes on other boxes that said ‘fragile, do not stack’ and seemed to not care at all if my personal things were damaged. He tried riding my escooter without asking. He would walk so fast that he wasn’t carefully moving the carts and almost crashed them into the walls multiple times. He also stood over me and made me do the review while watching and said ‘do 5 stars or don’t review at all or we will get in trouble’. So I pretended to do it in front of him and turned my phone off and am now writing the real review.
