  • I provided 4 adjustable straps (come-alongs) and a roll of bubble wrap to protect my furniture. The crew used none of these things when packing my furniture into the U-Haul trailer. I sent photos of the damaged furniture to the Homeward Bound email address and have not gotten a reply. There is a one inch tear in my leather sofa, scratches on multiple pieces of furniture, and two lamps were damaged beyond repair and had to be thrown out. When I pay for a moving crew, I expect professional movers who are trained to do the job right. This crew was unprofessional, foul-mouthed, and smelled like an outhouse. I have moved 25+ times in my life. This crew is the absolute worst I've ever seen. They didn't even use the straps I provided. Do they not know how to use come-alongs? Have they not been trained? This is absolutely the worst moving experience I've ever had. I do not trust U-Haul to properly vet their moving help and will never use them again.
